Topic: Implement fairness. Ideas to bring this game forward

Sometimes i think it would be good to play without a leader. So people realise that they have to act instead of sitting back!

If i see my family i see a lot of initiative. This is way more fun. On the other hand there are many people falling inactive, going away without talking and so on..

What you need to be successfull is communication but this fact changed a lot in ic. Players come on, ask for aid and if they dont recieve within a minute they go offline for hours again..

so activity decide as you need to catch players te minute they come online

Anyway. First of all

1. Players joining a family and not talking/participating at any way need to be removed and Blocked! It is a social game. Go google "social"

2. Warblock. Familys in war arent able to be attacked from others. We dont have alliances.
          Maybe add a function in relations. If both fams agree theire can be a 2 vs 1.. would be intresting in rounds like the current when a family like Lees can fight 3 at once

3. Familybank
Players participating add Stuff to it. Everyone can use it. You need to trust players for it smile Maybe let a "leader" (if we have a leader) give viceleader tags. Those tags are supposed use bank.

4. what about preselected roles? I didnt thought about it a lot. Players create own race but also select (attacker, resourcer, ss...) Abuse can be controlled this way.. But you have a fam to talk about roles. Sometimes you may have to switch and learn something new and so on.. I dont know

anyway i like to give every player more trust and to remove not participating players

Dimpel there's no way to kontrol it, you talk about war blok yes, but in the past fams just agreed to deklare wars eazh other to get protekted from bigger fishes, it was abused.
We have that top pannel informing of every attak in the gal, you know who's fighting who by that pannel, that pannel makes "zhek relations" op useless, imo its not ok right now, either get rid of that pannel or make it a klikable option, showing you muzh more info that it shows atm, not only the events in the tik, I'd say it kould show all the events in the kurrent year as a summary

Anyway, ur good intentions are appreziated, but sadly this is abandoneware in the way we have only 1 developer and he has no akzess to the whole kode.

I really like the fam bank idea.

In theory, the point of a fam bank is that individuals have access to a lot of ressies at any time...to build, to jump fleet for war, to play market etc.

But sometimes, there is no one online to hold the bank.



I agree with Dimpel, we should launch the family bank into the "cloud"

we also could play without diplomacy

just attack who you want when you want and so on

if players handle out something okay if not then not

so whining stop as everything is allowed anyway.. so you need to be prepared

seams sensible to me

war block one might need a bit of working on  possibly max 2 family's or something

but that would allow abuse if you and a m8's fam just declared on each other   and infra all round   But theory is good



Fambank idea very good  hell lets none 24 hour activity family's share easier

or a step further   Global fam bank / attacker/banker/rez bank  or Team A Team B  if you wanted to restrict access

Same should be done for forums easier to track things if wars are in there own forum   as not so active people don't have time to follow all the threads

may be psychological, but how about instead of having leader tags be obviously bright pink, instead have them the same font/color as the rest of the fam except the tag just says "Leader" that also allows overlap with other tags i.e. "Sentinel" and "Fleet Admiral" to still use bonuses as needed. This way people won't FEEL like they are any different from the leader.

I have a couple ideas, namely transparency and automaticity:

Allow leaders and vice leaders to be able to see the HQ and council of their players somehow, my suggestion would be the line on our top-left can also be duplicated as a line next to our name on the family page. and then when someone clicks on our name, in our profile they can see our council. This makes coordination of eco and drafting infra plans easier.

stepping further, maybe have an intra-fam [bank] tag that only family members can see, this tag can be changed only by leaders and vice-leaders, then people knows who to aid. additionally, to help with planning, leaders and vice leaders can set "comments" onto players so that when you mouseover a player, you can see some comments that will say "jumping on week 21, 3", or "needs end and cash for agents", "jumping 2nd", "jumping 3rd" etc. This way, a leader can draft a plan and place comments next to guys. Yea it can be done by checking on the forums too but my thought was that this way you can FEEL like you're part of the family and part of the PLAN if you have a comment next to your name.

There could be some automation done to the aiding. I think players log on find it takes a long time to receive aid and dont have time to sit around, so they just dont bother logging on next time around. If there could be some function where resourcers or bankers can automatically send to person or persons (i.e. fam bank, upkeep for attackers, food for bankers). Additionally, fam bank can maybe have a "auto-send" function to trusted players that have been granted access to the "bank" so that when those players log on, they can "withdraw" cash/resources from the fam bank. This way it allows people to still have the fam run without having to sit next to their computers.
