How so?
We dominated the galaxy with 4 drafts and 13 members. Giving us 5 extra players will make us rape you even more.
Personally, I'm liking the 13 man 2 Draft option.
Why? Cos I think the galaxy has no competition 'fam-wise' these days. There are what, 2-3 top fams? 5 at best? With 2 drafts, it 'spreads the talent' per se.
I suppose you could even 3 man it with 2 drafts. But yea, spreading the talent would give more competitive fams possibly. Where good competent people are forced to make their fams of their own or if they cant be bothered, random into another fam therfore helping other fams out.
2 drafts spread the talent and increase competition, while still giving the option to play with a couple of friends. Plus a lot of friends I've made have been randoms (any PWer will tell you this is true) so both have positives really.
Not sure though. I could even try 13 man fams, with no drafts to be honest. Just for a round or so, to see how it plays out. A lot of the 'old hats' seem to say that IC was brilliant before the drafting and that drafting ruined it. I only joined IC after drafting was already implemennted so don't know how it was before. But I have played in PW since then multiple times, and I honestly feel that Capri skill wise is > PW (jokes aside - and ofcourse there are exceptions, but generally this is what I reckon).
Btw, don't let this bias you guys, I'm just posting this as my opinion as a player ![]()

Okay, so we're like currently throwing some ideas around. In light of getting more Community feedback to help improve the game and get the players what is wanted, here's a thread to discuss possible ideas. We will also be putting up a Galaxy-wise Poll just to get a feel for the numbers.
Since it is going to be a Reshuffle round, we think it is a good time to mix it up a little again. Any changes are always reversible and we feel keeping it different may be the best way forward! (Instead of having the same thing round in and round out).
Here are 4 of the ideas we're throwing around at the moment:
1) 13 Member Fams (4 Drafts) - Same as current.
2) 18 Member Fams (4 Drafts) - With the addition of more members, fams could potentially be more fun and drafts may have 'less' of an effect. Keep in mind this will reduce the number of familes in the galaxy.
3) 13 Member Fams (0 Drafts) - Capri with no drafts!! Worth a try?
4) 13 Member Fams (2 Drafts) - Minimise the number of drafts to level the playing field?
Please note that whatever is talked about here or decided in the Poll might not necessarily be what the eventual set up will be.

- Hasn't built in 2 weeks. Was 300% aaaaaaages ago.
- Has still a population of 107m
- Has over 1.5m wizzies + Agents + Soldiers (Because of huge war)
- Doesn't have NAPs with every fam.
- Partax popping - so has obviously lower income, but a HUGE opping potential.
- Has killed no less than 4 of the 6-7 big pop bankers at some point
- Has perma hurricaned during wars to keep down CF bankers.

- Infrawhored to 600% OB and has only just recently gained a higher income through research.

You havn't said anything new or anything. These are all common sense and lead to better fam eco.
But yea, a good read for people trying to better their fam eco. Maybe for their purpose - you can elaborate on each of the points, rather than just listing them.
eg: "Getting science before overbuild". It is pointless funding research at the early stages of your empire because the return of gc into research is far less than actually spending that gc building more cfs/tos. People have different ideals and situations vary, but a CF/TO banker i'd NEVER get to research eco before they're at LEAST 100% OB (across almost 60+ planets - but like I said its situation dependent). Also to note is that the higher your income is, the more benefit you are going to get from any percentage increase in science. eg, 10% eco science on 100 income is only 10. Where as if you're income is 100k, then you're making a cool 10k more with 10%.
etc etc.
The basic point is, is that it all adds up, and balancing your eco will lead to better efficiency and faster growth. Really important these days (due to the game play these rounds) of maximising income and microing your fams' empires to bring out the best in what their role is.

However, having said that - the rule only stops one kind of 'farming'. Saying "impossible to farm" is largely incorrect. We're still thinking of ways to make this a bit more fair for lower fams/players.
