my shower doesnt have hot enough water for me to feel clean after seeing the yell edit "[Correct]" into one of my posts. DONT DO IT AGAIN YOU FILTHY BASTARD!
the forums isnt a place to dispute moderation...
[Correct!]
players that play for the best interests of themselves and their families are the honorable ones. the one taking offense to loosing some planets from a higher ranked fam and then throwing their round and their fam's round away to make an attempt at getting them back are the ones without honor, especially when that includes making a thread in uni news to whine about it and try to create an illegal alliance against a them.
Cosplay itself isnt gay if you do it to socialize with friends. Cosplay is gay if you do it because you wanna dress up like some anime guy and socializing is an afterthought.
i myself have never cosplayed, but me and 2 friends, after getting wasted, did wander around the south side of chicago wearing pirate hats.
if your nation's economy was really threatened by the single bank, have the head executed for treason, and keep going until the new head agrees to your terms.

well, those are the types of questions you should be asking, not "How were the points awarded?"
freelancer, dont you read, right off the OP "The CASS released a report on Thursday which ranked countries in nine areas -- GDP, military power, diplomacy, capital strength, technological power, natural resources, human resources, government coordination and control capability, information and communication -- with the average in each field determining a country's overall rank."
this is your reminder Zarf. make a new thread about this. also make a thread about the thing you were going to make a thread about like 2 days ago.
just because the US has a strong base doesnt mean it will last long. in today's world all it takes is a nuke or two getting in the wrong hands, and the American empire is destroyed. The US is also the most hated country and the most likely to get nuked. As nukes get into more and more people's hands, the number of governments the US can push around with its sizable millitary and economy will shrink and shrink.

The past 100 years have had some pretty rough times in certain parts of the world.
Granted, the past 100 years have kind of sucked.
But you've all picked THE WORST moment to use as a scale.
If I had to pick SOME year as a comparing point, it would be something in the 1950's, because there was relative peacetime. But, essentially, this only shows that your "compare now to earlier" system is bad, because any particular date will have external events that mess with your comparison.
the past 100 years have far from sucked. the past 100 years have been the greatest in human history. no other century did we make such huge strides forward.

No, relative to itself.
what does that have to do with anything? it wasnt a supwerpower in 1944...
interesting read http://www.howobamagotelected.com/
512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points
97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates
Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions
57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)
71.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)
82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)
88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)
56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).
And yet.....
Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes
Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter
And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!
Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.
Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

. The increase of influence might have changed, but so has the scale of the globalisation.
yeah, but when ships can move more and more cargo, you dont change how much a ton weighs, you add newer units of measurement, and when it comes to global influence, when more influence is normal, you add new unit, not change existing values. the new form of measurement is a hyperpower.
more influence over the world then the US did in 1944?
Super Power was first used to describe the US, Soviet Union, and Great Britain in 1944. Does the US now have more influence over the entire world now then it did in 1944? i would definitely say so.
[when I said don't use forum space to complain about mod decisions, I meant it. ]
yeah, but if i read someone's posts, i might accidentally refer to part of it while responding to someone else and break the warning and get banned. someone already got banned for agreeing with one of my posts.
"Imperial did suggest we boot them...."
sorry yell, i did not read any of someone's posts because im not allowed to reference someone's posts or even reference someone, so i did not notice. i think that didnt break the warning, *crosses fingers*
i dont think anyone suggested we boot out companies that hire thousands of americans, make millions of cars, make good cheap cars, make very popular cars ect.
and is "hiring thousands of americans" supposed to impress anyone when the big three hire millions of americans?
sounds like a liability to me.
also, the idea that Toyota or another auto-maker that is losing tons of money right now is going to drastically expand and create jobs in the US during this economic climate is unlikely...
"lol amen to that. Although 25 billion is a small amount compared to what the car companies have to spend to keep up in production. this 25 billion should not be given because it encourages retarded behaviour the way the american car companies have been behaving. Just screw up and the government will come bail your ass out. We should make an example of these fools."
and why is the way teh big three auto makers have been behaving, retarded? their competitors have nations supporting them, and much lower labour costs; the big three had a large union their government supports, and no government support, eventually, they're unable to make up for the disadvantages and their decrease in sales creates enough pressure for them to manipulate the union into giving them very favorable contract. unfortunately shortly after the new contracts, the economy takes a dive, and because of the disadvantages that have been handed to them from the US government since the start, they're unable to stay afloat. looks like the government [w00f!] them over, not retarded behavior... but im sure you're a business expert that can critique the execs?
