"Not only can you have striaght white teeth here, you can have diamond inlaid gold teeth put in!"

"yea.....you can have your teeth chiseled into points.
You can have your teeth replaced with permanents, even when you dont need to.

Or you can keep them crooked and yellow."

Well until permanent false teeth become stronger than real teeth my crooked, yellow teeth wil stay exactly where they are, and how they are. However when artificial teeth do become stronger than natural teeth I'll be having a fine set of carnivore teeth put in! big_smile

I think a complete list of details regarding your PC would be useful, and a rough estimate as to it's age.

I originally posted this as a joke, and to get a rise out of, well, anyone who would rise to the bait... some of you people are slipping.

"Let's see... Created the universe, planets, life, ..."

Arguable, unprovable, and evidence seems to indicate otherwise.

"not to mention He gave up his only Son to die for ALL our sins and offering eternal life as a gift to whoever repents for their sins and accepts Christ in their life and follows His teachings."

Or: Jesus chose, of his own free will, to give up his life for the betterment of mankind, to demonstrate how whole heartedly he believed in his own words?

"What more do you want?"

Evidence?

There... I think that was much politer than anything Decimus would have written, and probably says the same things.

RUPEE (The Legend of Zelda)
Worth: $3 (U.S.)
Methodology: 100 rupees = magical shield. Crappy shield on eBay = $300
What It Means: U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke could learn a couple of things from Hyrule's math whizzes, who have kept the region's inflation rate at an astounding 0.00 percent for over 20 years.

GTA DOLLAR (Grand Theft Auto III)
Worth: $25 (U.S.)
Methodology: 100 GTA dollars = Colt .45 Pistol (M1911 A1). Custom model 1911 A1 pistol made by the Springfield Armory = $2,500
What It Means: If you do find a handgun for a hundred bucks in the real world, you'll probably have to call Nerf for more ammo.

COIN (Super Mario Bros.)
Worth: $37,000 (U.S.)
Methodology: 100 coins = 1 life. Human life = $3.7 million, according to the Environmental Protection Agency
What It Means: What can we say? Girls dig guys with large coin boxes.

GOLD RING (Sonic the Hedgehog)
Worth: $103,000 (U.S.)
Methodology: 50 gold rings = A bonus-level shot at a chaos emerald as big as your head. The largest emerald ever found was 86,136 carats, valued at over $5.2 million. In today's market, 50 real gold rings, or about $10,000 worth of gold, will net you a 3.9-carat emerald.
What It Means: On a side note, give one gold ring to your girlfriend and you unlock the bonus stage where everything you do leads to your life being over.

SIM DOLLAR (SimCity)
Worth: $611,000 (U.S.)
Methodology: 1,000 Sim dollars = baseball stadium. The new Washington Nationals stadium = $611 million
What It Means: Think the government is the only waste in D.C.? Each Nationals win in 2007 cost $13.70 in SimCity money, $8.4 million in today's economy.

MINERAL (StarCraft)
Worth: $25 million (U.S.)
Methodology: 100 minerals = Terran Vespene gas refinery. A gas refinery in Arizona = $2.5 billion
What It Means: At this point, you might as well make a three-button suit out of your worthless money and light yourself on fire.

ADAM (BioShock)
Worth: Infinity
Methodology: 1 murdered Little Sister = 160 ADAM. 1 real murdered little sister = life in prison. You'll probably meet about 160 Adams there, too. Some may make you call them "Big Daddy."
What It Means: They use cigs as currency in the joint, so you're better off with smokes than you are with C-notes anyway.

Rather than edit my first post I'll write it here:

I've died twice, both as a result of a drug overdose, and been in two comas... well one coma, the other one I only suspect to be a coma as it only lasted about 2 hours.
Anyway, both times were fairly weird as I went from feeling the worst I've ever felt in my life, with the world fading away to darkness, to the best I've ever felt in my life. I got the mandatory tunnel of light, but no voices (which is a vicarious experience for a schizophrenic as I'm sure you can imagine), and then I became aware of a lack of something, like when you know you've forgotten something but you dont know what, and slowly everything faded away; the happy feeling, the warmth, my thoughts, they all went away and then there was darkness for an indeterminate amount of time.

When I woke up it was the most painful experince of my life, ever; my whole body was in pain, it was like I could feel every single nerve in my body. My eyes hurt, even in a darkened room, and for some odd reason I could sort-of feel my lungs...

Quite frankly comas are more fun.

"thats claiming that if an atheist is evil, atheism is evil, if an atheist is anything then the entire religion is that,"

Exacly right, because there is no Atheist community, no flock, therefore Atheism as a grouping term only applies to single people at any one time.

" thats bullshit. you apparently dont even understand the basic concept of language."

And now we're getting to the insult stage of your "arguments", never a good sign for your side. You do know the difference between a discussion and an argument, right?

Taken from Yell's link:

"Surely this stereotype has arisen out of the American preoccupation of spending large amounts of money on having their teeth done, a pastime which, like cosmetic surgery, the British find too vain to become involved in."

"Japanese culture has a stigma attached to teeth. Women cover their mouths while laughing because of this. Fortunately this also helps to cover up their awful teeth. An attractive girl will quite often be ruined by a horrifying set of gnashers. In my opinion free dental care for children on the NHS gives us far better teeth than the Japanese and leaves us with more natural smiles than our American cousins."

"I just returned to the US after having lived in England for seven years. The concept of "bad British teeth" is certainly an unkind stereotype, but I agree with the fact that the English are more comfortable with the idea of having manky teeth as long as they don't actually hurt. I think the NHS is to blame, in part for not having enough dentists in certain parts of the country to allow for visits twice a year, and also by establishing the attitude that that having white teeth, free of decay, are hard to achieve rather than a normal healthy state of being. In the US, health insurance often does not cover dental work, and does not cover braces at all, but since sound teeth are a class indicator here, people would be hard put to just accept having a missing tooth or visible decay for fear of being thought a hillbilly."

And my personal favourite:

"im a dental hygienist in ny. the people I see here are just as ignorant about oral hygiene as anywhere else. many people interested in whitening have periodontal disease, their teeth are actually loose but rather than pay to see a periodontist to save them they would like them bleached because that seven hundered dollars is easier to come up with than the money to actually save the teeth. alot of people want their teeth pulled and nice white dentures put in instead. how about some preventitive measures like regular check ups or floss it costs a dollar. even if you dont have insurance chekups at the most are way way less than the average price of sneakers most people have a low dental IQ no matter what country.we need to change this.tooth loss is not necessary even if you're 80. floss!!!"

It seems some Americans are guilty of elitism... I can see BW in my mind, striding forth with the flag as a cape cluting his old service pistol in one hand and a dentist's drill in the other!

<<You see they did "monetary redistributation".>>

That had bugger all to do with socialism; president whatshisname just did that to keep the populace happy, he knew it wasn't going to work, just like nothing he ever did worked, it was always about quick fixes and blame shifting. I wonder how much was redistributed to his buddies? To himself?

"Also dumb as we were, we knew enough to start bombing on the axis before they could get in range instead of declaring war on them and letting them pwn until they could bomb our cities."

But it's more fun when they think they can win!
