What I thought was comical was Marx talking to Nietzsche, and Mao next to Lincoln.

Btw, I agree that Ghenghis Khan is next to Napoleon. The guy on the far right is probably the first Emperor of China, from the short-lived Qin dynasty.

In the US, a regionalist state would be told to stfu. In fact, our federal government has had a history of responding to regionalists asserting their autonomy with federal troops. In extreme cases, we have practiced scorched earth on regionalist scum. But in Canada, regionalism is a major issue apparently. And Quebec continually wants distinct status and special powers in the constitution.

Across the border in the US, I think you Canadians have a major problem with regionalism. It keeps you behind in progress, and you need a strong central government like we do that defacto treats the states like administrative divisions. Many provinces in Canada are pissy with Quebec, yet Ontario tends to want to be accommodating with Quebec. But what I don't understand is that with all the possible support, why not antagonize Quebec, tell them to stfu, and threaten to send federal troops if they assert their independence? Seriously, something is wrong if your federal legislature is held by a significant number of seats belonging to a party called Quebec Bloc.

Evolution doesn't have a final destination, lol. There is no "better evolved than you," there is only "better adapted to."

The only girl who ever cooked for me was the one who wanted to move in so she could cut her college costs.

rofl.

Well there is some truth in that. But sometimes I think girlfriends are more expensive. The sex in exchange for shopping or dining money adds up.

$30,000 is working class income, lol. Middle class is around $50,000. What's funny is that my parents have their house paid for and complain that they can't live off their $46,000 from part time work/SSI.

I am operating under the premise that America's tax laws are too inefficient, allow complicated loop holes for political and legal elites to evade taxes, and they are stressful on the economy.

I propose a federal tax reform that values efficiency, breadth, and small government. The tax codes will not be concerned with accommodation, but rather with efficiency. Stupid people who pop out babies are out of luck. All individual income will be taxed at the same rate, including wages and dividends. The state will not recognize marriage, and married couples will file separately.

The federal taxes will be 15% of all personal income over $20,000. Corporations and capital gains will thus not pay taxes. Though you could say this is regressive, the truth is that poor people pay no taxes and middle class people are not severely hurt. A middle class person earning $50,000 will have a taxable income of $30,000 and pay $4,500 in taxes - a 9% tax of their total income. Likewise, Warren Buffet (who admitted to paying less than is secretary in taxes) would pay $6 million on his $40 million or so of dividends.

This will decrease revenue, but a system like this would be efficient and relax stress on the poor and middle class. Moreover, people would have more money to invest and the economy would grow.

I think marriage should not be recognized by the state. It's a stupid formality at a secular pov.

They can't be empirically tested, so out they go.

Edit: I mean, ethical realism has no justification. Ethical realism is that ethical statements are objectively true. However, I am in agreement of pragmatic ethics.

Eco,

1. A lack of regulations on the economy did not cause the economic crisis. It was political corruption, and the fact that some regulations gave incentives for CEOs to make risky investments.

2. Actually, I like the status quo for the most part. These days environmental groups just want to grab power, and that's reflected in their policies. If they really wanted to make a difference, they would be lobbying harder to exchange energy-efficient technology with China than try to shut down a coal power plant.

3. I think we should invest in people in ways like education (on merit ofc), and I don't want people to starve in the streets. But liberals promote equality (opposed to merit) in things like affirmative action and giving poor people absurd loans so they can acquire a home. POOR PEOPLE LIVE IN APARTMENTS!

1. Regulating the economy is liberal stupidity.
2. Further environmental controls are liberal stupidity.
3. Welfare state reforms are liberal stupidity.
