So I learned that Euro are sensitive about a few things, among them being
1. Royals
2. Nazis
3. Multiculturalism
4. Human rights
Now personally, I think you guys need to chill. You come off to those of us across the Atlantic as being goofs driven by ideology. You even go so far as to suspend people's political freedoms because they don't satisfy your values. Sure, we abhore the Nazis under Hitler, but we don't arrest some one for preaching National Socialism. We laugh at them. Furthermore, we don't just dismiss a guy who wants to regulate immigration as racist either. And human rights? I mean come on, you guys are up in arms over any human rights abuse. Sure excessive and wanton abuse should be condemned, but you guys don't seem to respect the practical challenges that political leaders have to face.

True. But I'm more sympathetic towards it if it empowers the country rather than interests groups. Most interest groups are parasites to our political system.
This thread is so idiotic I declare it my official troll thread.
But I will say that environmental groups typically just want power. They play on the fears of the people to pass through legislation that benefits them, without really having an effect on global warming. For example, they would have a greater effect on reducing global warming by exchanging technology with China rather than demanding that a coal power plant must be substituted with an alternative that only raises costs. To give an example, ethanol. Those aholes who pushed for ethanol need to stfu. It's inefficient and raises food prices.
long live the Austrian Empire and the House of Habsburg!
I'm surprised nobody has called me insane lately. I mean, I'm not motivated by ideology so much, but I think ruthless action needs to be taken for the US to remain a major power.

Yes we can. Everyone in power knows that most political events are motivated by power and not consistency or ideology.

Oh he was doing great against them. He expanded the war in to Cambodian territory that was being used by the Viet Cong for military operations. He gave them no safe haven, and we were close to victory. The problem was that the war had endured for too long under the liberal noobs (Kennedy/Johnson) and it's hard to continue fighting prolonged wars. By the time Kissinger exercised any real power, he was already constrained by popular discontent for a prolonged war. That was a challenge even the best of us would have had trouble contending with, and given his limits I think he did great cutting our losses.
Treaties are made and they are broken
... He reacted appropriately to just about every circumstance he encountered, which were many. To name one example, he pwned Chilean commies. Despite being boggled down in Vietnam, he devised effective strategies to eliminate threats from our peripheral zone, like Chile and East Tumor.
He was so effective at it, that today Liberals fear his name and want him tried for war crimes. What Kissinger did, Bush and now Obama were/are too chicken to do. Kissinger did what was necessary. If he was still the Sec of State, Hugo Chavez would have been taken care of long ago.
Think about it. Liberals fear Kissinger. They laugh at Bush.
Reagan was a noob. Henry Kissinger was our last statesman who had any sense.
Says a French idiot.
Oh, just to mention. I have a much more relaxed attitude towards the constitution. Some parts I won't compromise on, like the 5th amendment, but other parts I am willing to - like practical limits on freedom speech.
I'm conservative and I do not believe in God. I also think government exists because there's demand for its services, and it's more practical for some services like defense and administration to have a monopoly.
My entire conservative philosophy can be summarized with four points:
-Poor people are stupid and need to be controlled with an iron fist
-The free market and self reliance must be the economic policy
-Only people who reach a certain income or educational attainment should be allowed to vote
-Practical considerations must come before moral or ideological ones
lol.
Naw, blame Nolio!

"anyone else." The number of people could have been much higher.
Oh come now. It's fun to make fun of the Dutch on occasion. And I wasn't very offensive. It's a tragic story ofc, and I'm glad the guy was apprehended before anyone else was hurt, and also good to know the Dutch issue life sentences (unlike Sweden apparently).
Your royals, especially your Queen, were targets of an assassination plot, lol.

All semantics.
But that is the most logical definition of altruistic, if you assume it's the opposite of selfish.
Avo,
And that's a selfish motivation. Altruism means that you are servicing others without the expectation of a reward, whether it's material or emotional. The people who claim to be altruistic are liars and often motivated by power. The people who claim to be altruistic also tend to service others on a massive and organizational scale.

Clearly you're too bright for them, because the logic of that argument is lost on even my almost-par intellect!>
Lol it's not an argument. It's a statement. The meaning of that statement is that almost no human is altruistic, and those who claim to be are typically trying to hide their selfishness.
Germany did that. It worked great too. We could adopt the Euro, although I wonder what the Europeans would think of that haha.
Another [TI] troll. Die [TI] die!
I DECLARE WAR ON [TI] !
In your opinion, what is the best life?
I personally don't know. I personally like the path in pursuit of wealth and power, or living simply with friends and just not giving a crap.
But nonetheless, I think people who pursue lives of helping others are nothing but vermin and liars.
