Someone needs to follow that man around and record what he says, then send it all to Ridley Scott for movie ideas.

I haven't had a twinkie in years, but suddenly the moment I heard Hostess was closing I got a craving.  I still haven't been able to satisfy it sad

@ Little Paul
Mr. Spock seems to just like arguing for arguments sake.  He made up an argument he was apparently having with me earlier in this thread.

Easy yamas should be available to vips.

The yell makes an excellent point, it is unnecessary to give them wheel barrows, just let them use each other.

Why not just turn everyone in the prisons into slaves and use them to transport goods?  That's more more economical and environmentally than combustion.

Pff steam is so 80 years ago.

Trains use oil.

The biggest thing I'd shoot for right now Insane, is the addition/return of a vip galaxy

Problem with that would be numbers imho, what about the ability to play both mw and pw for VIPs?

Does anyone ever acknowledge that Yell has said something?

Indeed.  For some reason the forum wasn't accepting capital x's made on notepad X(

Stupid galkeys

At this point in the game, it doesn't seem like there is much of an advantage to those purchasing VIPs.  Maybe there are reasons, I assume VIP sales have dropped over the years, maybe it isn't worth the time anymore, idk.  At this point the only advantage of having a VIP is the ability to draft.  I mean, you can do YAMAs as well, but that's almost a punishment as it is.  Takes too much time and i just cbf'd to do it X(  So lets add some features.

1.  Bring back VIP galaxy, add VIP forum to Coincide with it

Make it a special galaxy.  1 month long rounds, each round comes from ideas the players have come up with.  Create a VIP galaxy forum where players can post ideas, and at the end of each round hold a 3 day vote on what round shall be played.  This gives the players another galaxy to play in, and allows players to finally have some real input on the game.  Who knows, maybe some ideas will pop up.

Now, in order for this to work clear parameters would have to be set.  Obviously the developers wouldn't be able to do something drastic, like adding new units, on a whim, but at the same time this may give them a new place to further develop the game and test these changes on a wider spectrum.

2.  Add more Ingame Options

Ingame YAMA's (stolen from Killas) for VIPs, so that doing yamas is no longer a burden.  Maybe something as simple as more options for the sidebar.  Add ingame cost-calculators for convenience.
The general goal here isn't to give paying players a head and shoulders advantage over the rest of the group as I can't stand all these new games where scrubs always win because they pay to play, but increasing the convenience of play seems fair.

3.  Bring back (optional) VIP tag

Gone are the days when VIPs were acknowledged in the forums & ingame.  I assume the new forums were part of the reason for the change, but at least ingame this should be a simple change that gives paying players some small acknowledgement.  Making it optional would allow those who wished, for whatever reason, to not make it widely known that they are VIP ok.

These are just some quick things I'm shooting off the top of my head as I'm bored at work and needed something to kill a little time before I get to go to lunch, but the general idea is still there and stands, VIPs deserve to actually get something for their money.  Not only that, but by creating a galaxy that is fueled by the thoughts and ideas of players IC as a whole could benefit as some of those ideas could be incorporated into the main game.

There's no point in arguing over oil reserves. Anyone repeating talking points about oil being running out is clueless at best, probably dishonest, and has no regard for the truth anyway. It's a fact that a ton oil will be coming out of the ground for many more generations.

If you were a scared sheep and someone said they could make government omnipotent and loving like God and make the world perfect, what would you do? You'd have religious-like faith in anything he told you, as millions do. The world is scary! We must believe! Only through tyranny can we find salvation!

At this point, all I've done is discuss the fact that the Oil discussion is just another in a long list of conspiracies (Kennedy assassination, Pearl Harbor, the potential existence of life on Mars,  Canada, etc.) that have all been aimed at keeping us from finding the honorable Sasquatch.  At no point have I made any kind of suggestion that something needs to be done.

Granted, I don't see why people are so against exploring options besides oil.  I personally think it would be great to see other forms of energy in regular, efficient use to help drive the price of gasoline down.  I'm not saying that oil is bad, I'm just saying that there's no reason to not explore other options.

Please point out to me where I made any kind of proposition.
