Keep it on topic. And dont flame. And IC suicides arent the topic. And what somebody thinks of suicide is not the topic.
Hrm a 120mm cannon is only about 4 inches and its not even autoloading. So they wouldn't outgun a frigate. They could probably take out one of our coast guard cutters with those. If they got some moderate freighters or sampans and had the tank strapped onto the deck they'd make a good commerce raider. Or they could use 33 tanks to pwn dowtown Mogadishu.
Democrats screwed up by touting THEIR bill as the unanimous favorite for immediate passage without bothering learn if everybody liked it
If Deomcrats thought McCain could deliver rightwing Republicans--and it looks like they did--they have worse intelligence than the Clinton CIA
Dems have the votes to pass whatever, for some reasin they demand all Republicans agree--I think because they know this will fail and be just the first step to planned economy and they want opposition compromised and neutralized from the beginning
Huh? Glad said he'd promote Obama right or wrong and he's a foriegner
Arr! Panzerpirates! Yoho!
It would be cool if they dismounted the 120mm cannon and made some kind of pirate battleship. Well i know it would be used for evil but it would still be cool. Arrrr.
Kenya gets negative million points for shipping tanks thru pirate infested waters. Good thing they didnt ship a Uboat
We should sell the Africans some twin prop aircraft with autocannon in the nose. We used those to sweep the Inland Seas of Japan in 1945 clear of shipping. Vroooom ratatatatatatBOOMtatatatatnyeerrmmm
Not goinna make a difference eh?
So you figure Obama lost ![]()
I turned on the radio in the middle of that Iran exchange. Obama uh cant shut ah up and I gotta gotta make this point keeps interrupting McCain to say no I didnt I said it first and better and uh er uh.

OK maybe this isn't the right thing or even the smart thing. But if you don't elect McCain, the seas will boil and stink of cheese and the sky will turn the color of blood. And if that's even possible, you have to do whatever it takes to stop it. And you have to do it right now. Don't throw away what's good waiting for what's perfect.
ya I know, this is how liberal Republicans argue
and if you don't fall for it, you're a fanatic ideologue
where'd you find that?
"Next, Couric asked about the $700 billion government bailout of bad debt - and whether she supports it.
Palin: I'm all about the position that America is in and that we have to look at a $700 billion bailout. And as Sen. McCain has said unless this nearly trillion dollar bailout is what it may end up to be, unless there are amendments in Paulson's proposal, really I don't believe that Americans are going to support this and we will not support this. The interesting thing in the last couple of days that I have seen is that Americans are waiting to see what John McCain will do on this proposal. They're not waiting to see what Barack Obama is going to do. Is he going to do this and see what way the political wind's blowing? They're waiting to see if John McCain will be able to see these amendments implemented in Paulson's proposal.
Couric: Why do you say that? Why are they waiting for John McCain and not Barack Obama?
Palin: He's got the track record of the leadership qualities and the pragmatism that's needed at a crisis time like this.
Couric: But polls have shown that Sen. Obama has actually gotten a boost as a result of this latest crisis, with more people feeling that he can handle the situation better than John McCain.
Palin: I'm not looking at poll numbers. What I think Americans at the end of the day are going to be able to go back and look at track records and see who's more apt to be talking about solutions and wishing for and hoping for solutions for some opportunity to change, and who's actually done it?
Couric: If this doesn't pass, do you think there's a risk of another Great Depression?
Palin: Unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on. Not necessarily this, as it's been proposed, has to pass or we're going to find ourselves in another Great Depression. But, there has got to be action - bipartisan effort - Congress not pointing fingers at one another but finding the solution to this, taking action, and being serious about the reforms on Wall Street that are needed.
Couric: Would you support a moratorium on foreclosures to help average Americans keep their homes?
Palin: That's something that John McCain and I have both been discussing - whether that ... is part of the solution or not. You know, it's going to be a multi-faceted solution that has to be found here.
Couric: So you haven't decided whether you'll support it or not?
Palin: I have not.
Couric: What are the pros and cons of it do you think?
Palin: Oh, well, some decisions that have been made poorly should not be rewarded, of course.
Couric: By consumers, you're saying?
Palin: Consumers - and those who were predator lenders also. That's, you know, that has to be considered also. But again, it's got to be a comprehensive, long-term solution found ... for this problem that America is facing today. As I say, we are getting into crisis mode here.

Parker, who praised McCain's "keen judgment" for picking Palin earlier this month and wrote the Alaska governor is a "perfect storm of God, Mom and apple pie," now says Palin should step down from the ticket.
When you join the Federal Reserve you have to meet certain rules about assets to liabilities. They were too short of cash and they were in chronic trouble. Just lucky for the Feds that JP Morgan wanted to buy right away, or the Federal Reserve would have to run it until somebody offered.
In exchange for those rules they get Federal insurance of their deposits and the Federal Govt cracks down on competitors who refuse to obey.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The actor who portrays the schoolboy wizard in the Harry Potter movies received as much attention for appearing naked as for his range and depth in the London production of playwright Peter Shaffer's "Equus."
Daniel Radcliffe is now reprising the role on Broadway, and this time reviewers are concentrating on his able performance in the play first performed at the National Theater in London in 1973.
Ben Brantley of The New York Times said Radcliffe, 19, wore his part of a suburban stableboy who commits grotesque crimes against horses "like a tailor's delight -- that is, a natural fit that allows room to stretch."
"Like many beloved film actors Mr. Radcliffe has an air of heightened ordinariness, of the everyday lad who snags your attention with an extra, possibly dangerous gleam of intensity," wrote Brantley, adding his "Alsatian-blue gaze" helped his convincing performance.
USA Today carried the headline "'Equus': Radcliffe revealed as a serious actor" as reviewer Elysa Gardner said "the Harry Potter star puts to rest any arguments that his appeal should be limited to moony adolescents and maudlin grown-ups."
Like other reviewers, Gardner said Radcliffe's performance outshone the production.
"In his impressive debut in a major stage role, as the disturbed adolescent in 'Equus,' Daniel Radcliffe significantly helps overcome the fact that Peter Shaffer's 1975 Tony winner doesn't entirely hold up," said Variety.
While most reviews centered on praising Radcliffe's performance, some made reference to the nakedness that caused such a stir in London.
"Radcliffe, despite the visceral physicality of the role, appears supremely comfortable in his own skin -- and yes, kids, thanks to the nude scene, we get to see all of it," said Newsday's reviewer Linda Winer, who also called the London-born Radcliffe "a smart, intense, wildly serious stage talent."
Variety noted Radcliffe had been criticized by some London critics for a lack of vocal control but said an extra year and a half of maturity may have helped.
"His delivery here is as confident and compelling as his febrile physicality -- whether fully clothed and wary or naked and defenseless," said David Rooney.
Brantley noted the similarity between Radcliffe's role in "Equus" and that of Harry Potter with both characters coming of age "in a menacing, magical world where the prospect of being devoured by darkness is always imminent."
Radcliffe will return to the boy wizard role soon when he begins filming the final Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

whaddya mean "safe for work"?? what the hell are you freaks up to?
McCain will go. I guess we should blame The Country, because The Country told McCain on Wednesday to call off Friday's debate and negotiate the deal, and then presumably The Country told McCain to get his ass on stage tonight and debate. The Country is being irresponsible to John McCain and taking advantage of his pledge to put The Country first. Although I guess that makes McCain an enabler.
This is the way out, losers must fail and be bought out for huge discounts. Somebody call teh Sultan of Brunei

. It's true!!!!
Chapter 11, new banks with foriegn capital, maybe federal commercial lending for short term loans, 90day paper.
I do NOT agree there's any real risk of a credit freeze beyond two quarters because new banks could be created in that time.
I do NOT agree this is a once in a century crisis because this is the third time in 21 years people hocked their shirt to buy a pig in a poke, found no sucker to sell it to, got stuck with worthless assets and ugly financing, and hollered for Uncle Sucker. Enough.
I think the unspoken corollary to the Plan is that our economy function with the same cast of players. And I don't value that at all. In fact we need to bust up these combines. Especially Fannie Mae Freddie Mac, we have NO need to have the Federal government passing out loans to folks who cant get any bank to trust them.
You cant think of any way out of recession--what does that tell you about the next time this happens? You think they'll care?
$25 billion loaned to the Big Three, $300 billion to FM/FM, $85 billion to AIG, FDIC wants $150 billion to shore up deposits, $700 billion to buy BBB loans, whats next week? You think the boards are saying "It's patriotic not to ask for a handout"?
How much of Paulson's $700 billion bonds you gonna take for yourself BW? $10k? Think it'll be worth it 30 years from now? Think anybody else feels its a bargain?
Remember Han's Yellow Peril scenario, China gets pissed and sells $700 billion in US bonds all at once, wrecking the US bond market? Remember we laughed?
Here's what I think is real--a dollar collapse when our money supply is based on political expediency and not market buying power. Remember the official rate of those Iron Curtain currencies compared to the black market rate?
That's the crisis of the century to me, and we hasten it by spending a trillion extra dollars we'll borrow somehow from somebody. Probably I'm warped growing up in the cold War but just like nuclear war in a good cause doesnt faze me I dont worry about this recession theyre hyping. It beats a recession and stamping extra zeros on the dollar.
I think Undeath and Nolio should box each other for the IC belt!
