not what im saying at all, his claims have no substance; he says gays dont have equal rights, but cant list a single right they dont have that others do have.

they are enforcing the law equally on both gays and straights.

sigh, you're incapable of making an intelligent argument. "How is forcing a man-man relationship to have a "civil union"" they arent forcing anyone to do anything, think an idea through in the entirety before you make some dumb argument.

"Equality = same treatment for all"

then there is equality, because laws dont distinguish between gays and rights, so they are treated equally by the government.

905

(220 replies, posted in Politics)

"So in either case, gays do not want extra rights to special treatment. They want
to be treated the same. Which, in my opinion as a straight guy, is perfectly OKAY."

gays are already treated the same, the law doesnt distinguish between gays and straights, it is impossible for the government to treat them any more equally; so obviously thats not what they're asking for.

". I'm sorry, but any democratic country that
doesn't give the right to equality to its people is a sham "

there isnt a right to equality because equality is a stupid broad term that could mean amillion things, and the people in our government werent morons, like you are, so they didnt include it.

"Marriage."

in most places marriage isnt a right. and in the places where it is a right, gays have the right just as much as straights do.

"Equality means equal rights and rules. Etc. Etc."

"Gays have the right to equality, which was explained. Not receiving this right means that
gays don't have equal rights."

so you're saying gays dont have equal rights because they dont have equal rights.  thats what your argument is boiling down to.  come on, list a single right gays dont have that straights do, you're still unable to. you just say they dont have equal rights, but are unable to list a right that they dont have, i think thats pretty good evidence that you dont know of any.

"But the rules only allow for straights to be 'happy'."

the rules allow gays to be happy too

"polls and ballots" say that Jesus is the dead undead saviour. Polls and ballots means nothing,
without reference to a particular poll."

no, they say that the majority of the population believes that. which doesnt prove he exists. but showing that the majority of the population considers something to be part of a definition of a word is a more valid argument for that being the definition of the word, then any other.

"Gays have the right to equality,"

no they dont. no right to equality exists. if someone loses their leg, the government doesnt chop off everyone else's leg in the name of equality; neither straights or gays of the right of equality.

"
*Sigh*. Since you can't follow basic logic, i'll switch directions. Yes, straights have the right
to marry. That is an extra right:"

oh i followed, it, you failed to respond to my point about it though, let me remind you "
the government doesnt distinguish between gays and straights, it is impossible for treatment to be any more equal."

"No, but they (straights) have that ability."

i did not ask for an ability that straights have that gays dont. you said that gays dont have equal rights, and i asked you to list a single right Straights have that Gays dont. and you failed. either state a rigth straights have that gays dont or retract he statement.

"Gays have the right to equality. Equal treatment in the eyes of the government."

the government doesnt distinguish between gays and straights, it is impossible for treatment to be any more equal.

"The ability specifically given to them by the
government and specifically NOT given to gays."

it is not not given to gays, it is considered impossible for gays to be married because the most popular definition of marriage includes that it is between a man and a woman. it is a tiny minority of the population that dont beleive this, and they are only trying to change the definition for selfish desires. its like changing the definition of overweight, not based on any medical research, but just so that fat sob's dont have to pay extra money to ride on an airplane; except fat sob's make up a far larger percent of the population, making changing the definition of marriage to accommodate gays even more ridiculous. the comparison is pretty nice because people blame both genetics and environment for both fat sob's and gays.

i think in the US, as soon as you're stable, they can kick you out. so i think like they could deny you service if you broke your arm, because your life isnt in danger, worse case scenario you have a crooked arm until you can afford someone to re-break and set it properly. im not sure exactly what stable is though; im not in the medical field.

"it says women prefer men who have more money compared to their options."

what do you mean "their options"

"You may not like having to pay, but your commitment to what should be doesn't change the scientific facts."
one study and now its scientific fact? lol.

"You may not like having to pay"

actually according to the sources you quote, they like wealthy men and security. assuming they get to know really how well off, you're better off not paying every time; it will put more money in your bank account, making you more attractive, and someone who displays fiscal responsability also displays security; as opposed to someone overspending to get their attention.

in the US its free for people under the poverty line and people over 65 i think.

also, dont most if not all western european nations have a sales tax, so even if the poor bought 1 thing in their life, they paid taxes that ultimately helped pay for their healthcare?

> BiefstukFriet wrote:

> My dad had an MRI for "free". What is free though? He does pay for his health ensurance (around 130 euros for the whole package; dental, physio etc)

ont he individual scale i can see calling it "free" but when talking about an entire country, and saying they give "free" healthcare, its totally incorrect, because countries charge through taxes, so tax money going to healthcare is not free healthcare on the national scale.

"you didn't read properly, he said for free for the citizens, provided by their country"

there is no country i am aware of that gives its citizens free health care; most tax their citizens and pay for health care through the taxes.

no one has that right.

wow, what a surprise, physical attractiveness has an impact on attractiveness... while first impressions are important, first impressions arent the substance of a relationship.

it depends on the computer. buying a whole computer will usually be cheaper if you buy a cheap computer. gaming comuters however have inflated prices, and its easy to save several hundred dollars expecially if you have a operating system that you wont have to but, and even more so if you spend the time to learn how to safely overclock. about 10 months ago, i built  a computer for $800, that would of cost me at least $1500, probably $2000 whole. also, when you buy whole computers, they often cheap out on psu's and memory sticks, that can cause you problems in the long run; which you can avoid when building your own computer.

but if you was a cheap computer to serf the web and pirate movies/songs, act; a whole computer will probably be cheaper, because the manufacturers get discounts on the items from buying in bulk.

as an example of the customization of building your own computer. when i was building my own computer, i had a 24" monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1200. i knew that having such a large resolution is extremely demanding on the videocard. so i bought the 2nd best videocard on the market at the time, knowing that would be the best way to maximize performance at that resolution; if i bought a whole computer, the only whole computers with that videocard would of been the extreme gamer computers and they would of charged me a huge premium. yet, i spent only $800 on my computer, and my videocard is the bottleneck in most the games i play, and if i spent the $2000+ on a whole computer with that same videocard, the videocard would still have been the bottleneck and it wouldnt perform any better then my $800 computer.

yeah, because the difference between freedom and right is so trivial while discussing gay rights; you're a moron.

and im still waiting for you to show a knowledge of the difference between a right and a freedom.

922

(220 replies, posted in Politics)

copy and pasting a link or anything doesnt show that you know squat.

"freedom IS a right"

if freedom is a right, theres the freedom to kill, and theres the freedom to survive that contradict, so unless international treaties contradict themselves in regard to protecting freedom, you're just making up bullshit. yeah, saying freedom is a right is a stupid as shit thing for you to say. your entire argument is based on these stupid as hell things, that arent worth disputing because they are obviously wrong to anyone who knows the language. i hope, that english is not your native language, and your failure to make a decent argument is because of your lack of proficiency with the language and not that you're a mentally retarded individual, but thats the optimist in me shining through. before you try to make an argument on an english forum, please learn the language better.
