There's not a coherent creed in there to begin with. It's a book written thousands of years ago for people living thousands of years ago. I think we've come across some better and more complex philosophical creeds to live by than the bloody bible.
And if you'd chose to follow those morals, why do you select them as we please? Timotheus prohibited women teaching men, stoning and outdated regulations regarding food. We chose not to embrace those.
The whole gay marriage discussion is absolutely stupid, backwards and a bit awkward by modern standards. I never understood that your principle of freedom extends to buying and owning dozens of machines designed to kill people by the dozens and founding totally wacko and even borderline dangerous religious cults but to not same sex-marriages. The last one is considered a threat to the society, the others aren't..
"Shrunk" is an euphimism. A 90% collapse would be more accurate. Nevertheless, it's still quite pleasant to be.
Sounds like IC is full of dramaqueens. ObliQue did something similar.
Or utterly cringing spelling
I'd be happy to have one again. It should start after the 10th though!
There used to be a poetry competition in the Olympics (de Coubertin won it even), but it was very short-lived.

I'm trying not to Nemeara, I'm merely trying to put it into perspective.
The Olympics, especially the Olympics, - I think - are (or ought to) be about the athletes and their heroic efforts, not nationalism.
I don't cheer for an athlete cause they're from my country, I reserve my cheering for the ones pulling off something extraordinary. So I think the nationalist dimention seems odd to me. It's probably because I live in a region that's part of a country that's part of a union and all of them are struggling to find a clear identity..
I'd make a sole occasion if Tom Steels was still cycling though, he's from my hometown and if he'd have won an Olympic medal, it would have meant free beer..
I go with Zidi.
Although I must say that I'm not entirely sure wether wikileaks is a good thing per se. I can be, but it isn't necessarily so. Also, releasing delicate information has been done in the past as well. There was that guy who copied a huge amount of diplomatic and political stuff about the Vietnam war and of course Philippe de Commynes.
On the other hand, there's the corpus of archivistic ethics. I don't know wether it applies worldwide though. The waiting period of 80 years assure the safety of all people involved, but at the same time it assures the safety of all people involved..
Yet you people wonder why several other nationalities have certain disregards when it comes to yours..
I'd buy myself two nice old houses (I have a good idea wich ones I'd like to buy). one of them shall be restored to its former glory, the other will be converted into a small and attractive brewery/restaurant.
Then I'd pay off the morgage of my non profit organisation and thoroughly enhance it. It can do with a good makeover and extra cash to start up larger projects.
And I'd buy some property I can rent out, so I have a stable monthly income.
I'll leave a large part of the money in investments. The rest will go to charities and frivolities.
It should be added to the division of powers: legislative, executive and juridical powers are already separated. Economy should be added to those. Companies shouldn't be allowed to fund/help politicians whatsoever, and stakeholders in companies shouldn't be allowed into politics either.

"We have not come here to receive lessons in terms of democracy or in terms of how to handle the economy."
GiantZ! Now there's a surprise!!
Yup, googled it, and it's correct!
Isn't that Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine?
The only problem with Amsterdam is just that there's too much Amsterdam for just 1 day.
I've never understood how you english people got so confused by it..
Seeing Cougar and Einstein discuss makes me happy!
I know who Donna Summer was as well! You just need a bit about musical knowledge, not age to know her..
If not, then Jonathan Livingston Seagull is a dead trail.
And of course, that is a solid, elaborate and realistic plan, Flint! I especially like the "kill all the bad guys". Why did no one tihnk of that before? All you need is John Rambo!
On the test though: I never made said anything about the value of the test, it's just fun. And why yes, I'm in the mood for a Bakunist revolution! It sure as hell beats being unemployed. Anarchy in the UK!!
