Hey...this could be a great idea Xeno. If America could enforce a 30% income tax on everyone voting citizen of the world not only would the world be acknowledging that America as the world's governing body, but our debt would very quickly become manageable!
Don't forget that we have to figure out how to take out all of the police related fatalities as well, and since we're discussing the legalization of guns we can't take into account the deaths resulting from illegally owned guns. So once we figure out the number of police related deaths as well as the deaths from illegal guns we can get an accurate number representing how dangerous it is to have legal firearms.
Xeno wrote:Correct me if I am wrong, but I think more American civilians have been killed by gun violence than American military personnel have been killed in military combat.
Maybe it safer to be a soldier on active duty in US military than a civilian?
Sure, unless we're talking strictly numbers. If technically more civilians die from gun violence, but say...its 1/1000 where as 1/500 in military service (made up numbers as I don't have time to find the correct ones atm)...then no. Example, if John has 10,000 bad apples from his orchard, but joe has 300 it seems like John is screwed in comparison. Only when you add on that John had a total of 1,000,000 apples and Joe had a total of 1,000 do you realize that only 1% of John's crop was effected while Joe lost 30% of his.
However you may want to look into getting a job as a statistician. #1 priority is taking facts and scewing them to make them seem significant.
Xian wrote:you really think that if everyone would wear a firearm, the world would be safer? I think that's just stupid. check the facts, they prove you wrong.
It's simple, no guns = none get killed by guns, many guns = many get killed by guns
Indeed, the US government does very well with policing bans! That's why marijuana and meth production has decreased so much over the past few years. They're both illegal, and nobody uses them!
Yes you should X(
But yea, I plan on not even trying GTA online for a few more days....because people who know how these things work realize that it is incredibly difficult to accurately predict how much action you'll be hit with upon a new release, and in most cases (kudos to finding a site that didn't have the problem flint, but if you expect that to be the norm you're delusional) it takes a bit to work out the kinks.
Diablo, WoW, LeagueOfLegends, DOTA, LOTRO, Grand Theft Auto Online are some of the most popular web based services on the net....and regularly have connectivity problems on new releases.... hell GTA 5 has been out 2 weeks now (online play just started yesterday) and the social club website that is supposed to be tied into the game is still down or so slow it might as well be down regularly.
Xeno wrote:" test new features and ideas that have been coded into the game"
So lowly players don't get a say about what we'd like to see coded and tested first? Who makes the decision as to the priority of what new stuff will be coded anyway?
Combo of the Devs, Mods, Testers, and players. Currently players make suggestions and discuss pros and cons of them in the ideas thread. Mods and Devs monitor those forums and try to get an idea for how a given idea would be received. If there is sufficient interest the Devs will look into seeing if the idea is possible. If it is not possible or there isn't sufficient interest the idea is scrapped or put on hold for when it is possible.
Arby3 is right in the idea that the testing galaxy isn't for players to come in, toss up ideas, and expect to get them tested. It is used to dig out bugs in changes that are already in development/developed before we bring the into the main galaxies.
Skyrim: Pretty sure I'll be replaying until my 360 dies
Grand Theft Auto 5: Still in the middle of it. The amount of missions, side missions, and screwing around you can do is thus far insane.
Crioz wrote:after you demolish something, it won't show you the right ammount, it will calculate with the %bonus of OB. if i was to 300 and demolished to FB, after i build the planet it will show me 400%
I believe you have to wait for the tick in order for the demolished % to take effect
Not sure never heard of this problem before. Maybe the wifi you were using was blocking something?
Agree with Torqez.
Also, there was a solid 5 minutes to tell me what to play X( If you have time to tell someone to join a family chat, you have time to type "attacker" "banker" or "resourcer".

Hi Mangoza.
Are you getting all of the recent reports, or just a few here and there?
I have a strange desire to strangle you

You should know that an exploration ship has already been sent by another family member.
Sending an explorations zhip to this planet will cost XXXX in gold and take 2 weeks to arrive. Do you wish to prozeed?
that will be enuf
I'll let Torqez know, but the problem seems to be that people aren't reading at all
Torqez wrote:Can we FAQ this? =]
No!
or yes...
ok yes
Hoffman wrote:Only positive incomes i believe. It doesnt count beuracracy either.
+Income
-units upkeep
-infra upkeep
= displayed top list income
Correct!
"Net Income" does not factor into it anywhere at all.
The same goes for resources. Only the # produced goes towards the toplists. You could make 10000 iron, but have 200000 decay each tick...and still have 10000 go towards toplist.
Also, for now if you click open the drop down box and type in the fam # you're looking for it will take you right to it
Ah, apologies for whatever reason I had rankings stuck in my head instead of maps
I like the fame idea, but if NW isn't displayed anywhere and is still used in calculations, how will players know who they can attack? I've seen clever players with very low nw's acquire 100+ planets from opportunistic attacks. That would make their fame very high, and to anyone not keeping infils potentially make them look like a good target while they're still outside the proper NW threshold.
I'm not sure I see the benefit here. Are you having trouble locating a certain family (ctrl+f), because I'd think sorting by nw and size would be more helpful when you're looking for proper targets.
*Update*
After some testing, it looks like the message is being displayed correctly. The problem is that with the new confirmation set up the warning that a family member is already on the way isn't as blatant.
When exploring a planet a family member is already on the way to, this message is displayed:
"Sending an explorations hip to this planet will cost XXXX in gold and take 2 weeks to arrive. Do you wish to proceed? You should know that an exploration ship has already been sent by another family member. "
as opposed to
"Sending an explorations hip to this planet will cost XXXX in gold and take 2 weeks to arrive. Do you wish to proceed?"
Currently there is no obvious font difference so unfortunately it can be missed, but we're working on it.
