Those prices are staggering. We pay a little more than 500EUR for a full year.

I don't see what's wrong with a country investigating in it's future by investing in education. I'd rather have my country heavily invest in proper education and future rather then the military force.. That, my dear, burdens your economy ![]()
Besides, USA schools tend to have extensive sports facilities (at least, that's what I've seen in documentaries), over here it only 1 sportshall. I don't know why a school should have a swimming pool etc.

Not necessarily. Over here, you get most of your medical expenses back by wellfare, but pay a small part of it as well. We have a sort of regulation that there can be only 1 doctor for a certain amount of people (and our doctor/population ratio is higher then in most other countries), so the doctor's quite sure of his/her income ![]()
