It's an OK movie, the high point is of course when John Malkovich pays for the tour into his own head.

but it would be a good thing never to send that guy a copy of abelard & Heloise's letters

i studied medieval history, so I know about Peter Abelard, who thought he could go around arguing with clergy and proving not that he was better than clergy but that he knew the nature of God better. Because he was a doofus he thought he could bang his boss's neice, and his boss decided that firing him wasn't good enough, so he had him castrated too.
up until he went into politics he did some good stuff
