"The world is such a global community nowadays that everyone knows about the Church. That they do not all convert and seek salvation via Christ means that they reject the church in the church's eyes. Thus, they aren't allowed into heaven."

simply hearing of the church isnt knowing it.

you're the one with selective hearing. you have a catholic that is as much catholic as any other catholic in the world, telling you that people of all faiths can go to heaven, and you're telling him that he believes something else. would you like to continue telling me what the catholic church teaches its members when i've been listening to them all my life?

just a small excerpt from the Yell's post, to make it easy for Theo:

"all those who, without knowing of the Church but acting under the inspiration of grace, seek God sincerely and strive to fulfill his will, are saved even if they have not been baptized"

simply put, people of all religions can be saved.

Decimus whines to the mods whenever you dont play nice with him; probably the closest i've ever gotten to getting banned was him whining to the mods over a thread i made that was almost identical to a thread he made, except i substituted Decimus where he said americans. the mods closed my thread and not his and called mine harassment.

paint?

"Ouch sounds painful Avo"

it wasnt very painful. there was alittle pain before i lost all feeling of the skin, and then awhile after it happened when the flesh started thawing, there was some burning feeling, but it was never that bad.

i was in a Frat, if it fades after large amounts of alcohol, it would of been gone in a week...

"Alaska has oil fields?"

yep, and there are also oil fields underneath the great lakes; but environmentalists have severely limited the refining of oil from Alaska and has completely prevented the drilling for oil underneath the great lakes.

surprisingly i've never been banned. when moderators edit my posts to change intent, i edit back, and they warn me, but i do it anyways, tell me where in the forum rules it says you cant edit your posts after a mod has?

"I've been contemplating some form of skin modification for awhile now (moreso a brand than a tattoo, though both are cool)"

you should do it yourself, nearly two tears ago my college roomate sprayed my arm with air in a can dust remover, im not sure if it was frost bite or a chemical burn, but i still have an oval about 6inches long on my arm from it. just shake up the can, spray it upside down, and have a design cut out of plastic to make it the desired shape.

if i remember correctly, the SS, targeted Christian churches for looting, and its more likely that Hitler and Nazi Soldiers swore oaths to God because Germany was predominately Christian and not because they were actually Christian.

how old were you when they were teaching you that? some religions will describe it a certain way for kids to make it easier for them to understand and then when you become an adult in the church's eyes, they describe it in better detail.

"Google users in the United States will notice today that we "turned the lights out" on the Google.com homepage as a gesture to raise awareness of a worldwide energy conservation effort called Earth Hour. As to why we don't do this permanently - it saves no energy; modern displays use the same amount of power regardless of what they display."

I believe the problem is rooted in the fact that the Jews dare to say that Jesus was just a man. A nice guy with some good ideas but no son of God. Alot of Christians seem to hate this idea."

i think historically, more hate has been directed towards Jews because christians blame them for the crucifixion of Jesus, and not from simply calling him just a man.

"except prison"

only when the law is what defines morally good...

"Except that some Christians believe, and are in fact taught, that with very few exceptions any sin can and will be forgiven.  So in essence they're taught they could, in theory, go out and kill 50 people and still get to heaven if they say sorry.  I know this because it's what I was taught before leaving the church.  Religion CAN give you a solid point to focus your morality but it can also produce some very frightening lines of thought."

what church was that?

"Really Avo...if God loves everyone then why was it the Catholic view..."

God loves everyone is the Catholic view, intolerance no longer is part of our religion; intolerance is a part of our history just like it was for Atheists, and every other religion.
