Unforgivable crimes? Running for public office with the promise of squeezing me even more financially. Acquiring public office by such demagoguery should be punished by death after suffering no less than 30 years in slave labor.

BW,

Okay, give me an example where a democracy/republic was established and able to continue without a strong middle class and educated citizen population?

Hehe. Well I'm 21 and retired. Been retired since I was born. The only way I'll ever have to work is if I mess up on investing my inheritance big time.

BW,

Apparently, the oil drilled and refined in Alaska goes to Japan.

As for Iraq, it needs a dictatorship dependent and loyal to the US. Democracy only works when there is a strong middle class and educated population, things that are absent in Iraq.

As for government, well our Bureaucracy is absurdly inefficient. Aside from reducing government, we also need to whip our bureaucracy in to shape.

After living in this apartment complex for a while, I have begun to notice the atrocious number of homeless people strolling the streets nearby the apartment complex I live in. During the winter some even tried to sneak in for warmth. There's also a church across from us, and so that explains why they congregate so close here. However, after traveling around the city at night to the bars and strip clubs, I have noticed that homeless people are everywhere! I was at Super America, and this poor dude with a cart from a store miles away was creeping me out. He was circling SA and came awfully close to my car. I locked it, haha! Even near the bars you can see them walking, I saw one couple nearby with a bunch of suit cases walking in the direction of the civic center.

With all these poor people, I was given a grand idea. I thought I would give a decent looking girl of their kind a job. She can be my live-in-maid for minimum wage. However, there's one problem. While a good number of the homeless are younger men, I haven't seen one younger woman. WTF is with that? Are fathers kicking their sons out but coddling their daughters?

So anyway. Why are so many of these homeless people younger men, and why are the homeless homeless in the first place?

Well I'm sure Qaddafi thinks they have model looks. They're his 40 virgins.

His body guard consists of women! They are the Amazonian Guard, women with model looks who are experts in firearms and martial arts, are required to be virgins, and qualified women are hand picked by Qaddafi himself.

a man is not a slave to a woman... simply is being curtious,
perhaps your inability to see this is why you are experiencing problems. if i re call correctly you started the post "long distance relationships".

maybe you need to look at yourself and change who you are if you want to have success. not try to change other people.

I believe the way that a man treats a woman is dependent on the relationship that they had with their own mother.

I don't recall that thread, although I have at times had long distance relationships. Second, I'm satisfied with my relationships with women, so I don't know what you're talking about. In this thread, I have implied that I disapprove of beautiful women selecting a boyfriend who is a loser over one that has a future ahead of him, and I also do not approve of this nonsense about what a strong man and gentleman is. A man can still be strong and hit a woman, but that does not mean I approve of that either. Furthermore, I also do not approve of a man prioritizing his woman first and giving her his all. We are individuals and as individuals we enter relationships, and healthy relationships involve a give/take exchange. I'll give my woman what's equal in value to what she gives me. I won't be her slave. How can one approve of a man who gives a woman $1,000 a month, takes her out to fancy restaurant every week, cleans her apartment every week, and outright bleeds his wallet dry for her month to month, never to receive anything but her company and gratitude? Though this is an extreme example, this is what Muppet (and I hope unintentionally) is saying. Fact is, I wouldn't do that for any woman, especially not if I'm not getting laid. What Muppet is suggesting is not give/take, but give even if you receive nothing. He implies that you give to your woman and expect nothing in return, and everything she gives you in return amounts to a gift. That kind of thinking is just messed up imo.

Anyhow, how I treat a woman depends on how well she treats me. If she treats me well, I treat her well. If she treats me bad, I'm gone.

So if Arnold Swartzeneeger hit his wife, he is weak? But surely he is still very strong, able to beat up most men in the world.

And a man has to be a slave to a woman? She can't take care of herself? WTF?

Because they at best won't earn more than $20k a year in their entire lives, have bad hygiene, are intellectually dull, like to dominate women, and the only thing they have going for them is that they are good sweet talkers.

If there is a victory by Obama for President, do you think the US military will stage a coup?

I can see 90% of America's elite becoming outraged to the point of rebellion, I mean the media is pounding on Obama right now to the point of desperation. And there are plenty of reasons for an elite to hate Obama, and very few to love him.

Will this destabilize the country?

Lead to civil war?

Pronounce class divisions?

Pronounce racial divisions?

Could this lead to a military autocracy?

What?

Xeno,

lol. Yes the irony huh?

BW/Yell,

Actually, What Chomsky says is part of his expertise as a linguist, and many Analytic thinkers (the dominant view among scientists and philosophers in the UK and the US) hold this same view. They think some statements are meaningless, and believe that what post-modernists say is meaningless. Secondly, Analytics believe in logic, and clarity and precision in expressing their ideas. They also accuse post-modernist and continental thinkers as being pretentious and deliberately obscure.

Lets look at this statement made by a post-modernist: "Truth is a terrorist."

An Analytic would say that that statement is meaningless. How can truth be a terrorist? A speaker of truth can be a terrorist, but truth itself can not be. Furthermore, when post-modernists say that there is no truth, they call it a logical self-contradiction. They ask the question "is this true?" If it is, then at least something is true. If they say "no" then they're speaking hogwash. As you can tell, Analytics love to make fun of post-modern and continental thinkers. This is the intellectual view Chomsky is taking, even if he's a crazy liberal in other areas.

Yeah, I noticed Christians and Conservatives tend to hate them. However, so do Analytic thinkers, who dominate in US and UK. In the US, Post modernists are usually in the English departments and can be found in media, writing and political careers. However, I wasn't sure if they were more prevalent in Europe, because it seems like they are. I'm glad they are being challenged now though, because they really are full of it.

Hehe, I love how Noam Chomsky, even though he is a liberal, says that Post-modernism is meaningless.

I am personally intrigued by Stefan, and wish he would say more than he does. So I figured that if there is anyway to get him to talk, even if it's once in a great while, it's to ask him questions about himself smile. So I would like to devote this thread to asking Stefan personal questions. Please be civil everyone.

So here's my first three questions for Stefan.

Stefan,

1. Where do you work?
2. How long did it take you to program IC?
3. Are you getting married anytime soon?

Gladiator,

Yes I have my mind set, and it's been set since he started talking about supporting the estate taxes and adding new taxes on investment income. I come from a family where this means I have a lot to lose if he wins. So it's not a matter of not having an open mind, but rather I see him as a big and mean bully who I rejoice when he suffers. My dislike of him is rooted in self-interest, not something arbitrary and silly as you seem to imply. And my dislike of him is very intense, to the point I wish he were to be assassinated.

And because of this hatred, I will believe he's evil and believe in all reports that reinforce his evilness, and am quick to dismiss all those that defend or praise him.

Moreover, if he wins, I will seriously consider moving to another country.

Yes but you see, for people like me who really hate Obama because he opposes my economic interests, I want to believe he's incompetent and evil no matter what. So I will ignore the possibility that the 20 years he attended this church was decades or years ago, and for convenience I will believe that it has been for the past 20 years.

I'm right in my own mind, and in this case don't care if evidence says I'm wrong. In this case, my mind is right! Hey at least I'm being honest with myself, and no I am not being sarcastic. I REALLY HATE OBAMA! I HATE I HATE I HATE I HATE!

BW,

In the sense that monopolies are inefficient, and free enterprise and competitive markets are efficient, you are right. As for America caring about the world, ahahahahaha! We are as Machiavellian and ruthless as every country in the world, we're just not as proficient at making ourselves look good at the same time lately.
