As I said, and apparently missed, it's about subconcious and subliminal society-bound reflexes. You don't need to be a religious person to be influenced about it. How is that anti-god, or anti-capitalist? It's just a theory, nothing more, nothing less. Not everything a socialist tells is a plot to recruite people or to destroy your Laisez-faire, Adam Smith-like napkin sized world.

You deny by admitting that I'm right. You claim americans do think like that, and that could easily have been the result of the protestant settlers, wich have become a state of mind over there. There's a lot of historical debate around this subject, and most of the historians agree that the reason why americans don't have any real socialist movement worthy of the name is because it's been a protestant country ever since it existed. Protestants take a different approach towards poverty and economy, wich over the years have become internalised and almost invisible motives. Protestants, pronounced the best in calvinism see wealth and succes as the grace of God, wich makes them subconciously less tolerant towards poor and unsuccesful people.

Getting youngsters in touch with different philosophical ideas is one of the basic ideas of education. Cutting some, cause they're not as constructive as you'd like, is censoring and sounds a lot like fascism to me. Post-modernism doesn't "pollute" the minds, apathy is a product of feeling excluded in society.

A flat-tax is and always will be unfair, and worse, bad for the economy. What a lot of Smithian economists seem to forget is that you need a large number of consumers to buy all those products you make (remember Ford!). Introducing a flat tax harms the bottom half of your society, who will buy less and that will eventually lead to overproduction and a collapsed economy (in fact this is what happened in the '30s)...
