I don't think there was any movement at all.
They pay no attention to science, but demand I show them studies like I care to spend hours convincing people that Al Gore isn't as full of shit now as he was 20 years ago.
There are all kinds of systems they have no awareness of. There's this great one with water, where warmer weather results in more clouds, which cool the planet. But that's hard to quantify, so they just ignore it and conclude that CO2=DEATH. When you find yourself arguing that natural volcanic activity will kill off the planet within decades, though it hasn't for millions of years, you lose my support for your argument.
Nobody has proposed a single solution, so I don't really care if you disagree with me over how urgent the need to lower emissions is. What do you propose we do about it? Sacrifice our children to the volcano?
Arlen Specter has always been a slimy creep. (From my home state.) Good riddance.
All this talk of co2 with no proposed measures to reduce it. "We need to do something!" "What?" "I have NO idea! But we HAVE to do it NOW!"
When the difference you're talking about is X% carbon dioxide and X-.01% carbon dioxide, abuse is ruining economies in the supposed attempt to make that change. Which doesn't actually happen, because people don't want less stuff when you tax carbon in one country--they just produce the carbon in another nation where it's not taxed.
...Or, Mr. Primo, you can learn that earth isn't going to destroy all life on it because of carbon dioxide, just as it hasn't for millions of years (both warmer and cooler than at present).
Are you honestly posting under the assumption that, because volcanoes produce a lot of "greenhouse" gases, the earth is naturally going to kill off humanity? ("Or, you can try to compensate a bit more, and stay alive.")
There were volcanoes millions of years ago too. And in all this time the catastrophic carbon dioxide global warming crisis you envision has never happened. You're advocating living in the stone age to reduce human emissions to a bare minimum (that would be safest, after all: 0 industrial emissions) because we produce some tiny, nearly statistically insignificant amount of gases. When anyone points out that our emissions are this tiny fraction, you reference the precautionary principle, though advocating stone-age standards of living in order not to produce an insignificant amount of a gas seems a bit alarmist.
I understand why corrupt politicians and people poised to profit from global-warming alarmism make ridiculous scientific claims with no basis, but I never got what motivated people to buy into them.
There have always been different weather patterns that can significantly alter an area's apparent climate for a year or several. But now we choose to be less educated about El Ni
Remember, they admire a state ruled by cartels with no balance of power. They wish they held that type of power here.
The free market would have taken care of this without the FCC decreasing the quality of this service we all use and increasing its price, which is all the FCC is capable of. If a company like Comcast was my provider and did anything to decrease the quality of my internet service, I'd switch providers. Problem solved. This is completely unnecessary. And pointless. Except if you work for the FCC and feel that you don't get to do enough to bother people. Then it's a step in the right direction!
"Will you consider taxing the chicken 95%?"
"All options are on the table."
Making fun of you isn't necessarily "bitching and whining." ![]()
Nonsense. Learn geography, Wild Flour Sole! The tiny island country of Europe could is barely 5% the size of the continent of Luxembourg. haha newb!
Haha, you just called WFS AMERICAN-LIKE.
What's the matter, he knew one thing too many you didn't know? I don't think he tutors. Sorry.
Swing and a miss! We be dodgin' the points like proz out here!
If you have a problem with the methods used to allow legal immigration, Key, go ahead and site us sources and make your case. Doesn't sound like racism from anything you have mentioned, however. That those immigrants from Mexico intelligent and honorable enough to immigrate to the good old US of A legally didn't vote for the welfare-bum socialist candidate doesn't really speak ill of them. Not sure what you wanted us to get from that.
I propose that nobody but me be allowed to post. This is the only way to ensure 100% quality.
Others as well, as this thread has made clear. They get really into it too. Weirds me out big time.
It's okay. They're filming new episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000, but with a bigger budget on a real satellite this time. I can't wait for the new season! Totally worth the wait.
"The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
-Ronald Reagan
"Yes, we can!" worked well in duping ignorant idiots into destroying what made their nation the most wealthy and powerful nation the earth has ever known. Weird definition of "worked," but I guess I have to admit that.

I like this page because it reminds me of all the insightful things Reagan said that Obama will never remotely approach. ![]()
Would someone please answer my question: Why would I care?
Unless you have any right to tell other people what to do with their money, all of your "educated" discussion only results in measures which place burdens on everyone, hurting everyone in the name of helping. You do a lot more good by minding your own business. "X system will be help the economy by 50v, at a mere cost to the economy in new bureaucrats, tax attorneys needed, and stifled motivation of only 100v! I'm so smart!"
And to make things worse, in your enlightened zealotry you're usually referencing macroeconomic theories without knowing which ones they are and what the major disagreements with them are, not even addressing them. You're referencing them like they're known economics basics without acknowledging that they're much-disputed theories.
I guess I just don't find ignorant idiocy to be as funny as some of you guys.
When you find humor in material which is known to be completely wrong and often backwards and can only be believed by those lacking an education--yet still IS believed by a considerable number of people--it becomes too embarrassing and sad to be funny. Pathetic things aren't funny.
If you want to make the argument that our spending is sustainable and Obama has made wise decisions (and thus accuse me of "whining"), make it in the appropriate place. I haven't "whined" that Obama won. Nor will I embarrass myself responding to the fantasies of children.
I think it's sad that you find such nonsense to be humorous, WFS.
It's not my money. Why would I care?
>>Truth stings doesnt it? Dont wanna let the masses know what the Republicans are all about, right? <<
I told you he wasn't joking.
We're making fun of you for thinking that any of those statements in the first post "sting" Republicans. DarkAvangion is the only person I've seen upset in this thread. Now he's on a tirade against Republicans who have been whining since Obama won the election... Does anybody know any? I don't know any. I feel bad for him if he knows people that weird.
I'm sorry if pointing out that your post embarrasses yourself upsets you. Fortunately, it is not my problem. Carry on! ![]()
