Peter Pace was the first Marine to be Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

but he was too hardcore and was replaced when Bush started listening to his daddy and governing like John Kerry would have if he'd won

Lol

Not really.

Con men are not worrying about how to sell real estate in a slump.

Con men want to sell anything because they won't stand behind the product.  They don't care what sells.  If something isn't selling they switch the con.

That's the odor I get from the Republican Party.

yeah its 2 year old decision I found about today

apparently they do have a "legal privilege" for outside lawyers, just not in-house counsel.  Not independent enough.

The problem is going to be what standard things like WTO go for, because if the EU sues USA for what US corporation does they will probably argue they can have everything Boeing and Eli Lilly in-house counsel did.

I suggest all NGOs follow American law or we kill them with drones.

And yes its ridiculous to think corporations won't flock to Europe, just look at their economy over the last 2 years.   Oh wait.

And there are plenty of places where sheriffs refuse to grant carry permits.  Because they contend it never helps.

What? That's the basis of the restriction on permits.

No, it refutes the view that allowing ownership of guns NEVER helps and ONLY harms.
It forces a debate over how often it helps and how often there's harm.

"A lot of anecdotes still don't count. What you need is representative data, produced by sound research. That is the only data that counts, so Flint is wasting his time finding examples of guns saving lives."

Totally wrong.

If I find a monkey, it is proof of the existence of monkeys.  If you wish to extrapolate the observed occurence to times and places unobserved, then you have to worry about "representative data" to make a GUESS meaningful.
ALL observations, however, are fact.

So if I see a monkey at my work, and a monkey at my school, then that is fact, it is evidence of the occurence of monkeys.  If I wish to claim there must have been monkeys on stage during the Gettysburg Address, unobserved, I need something more than anecdote.
