Topic: The Office

A Belgian TV-station started airing the American version of The Office. Not bad at all, but Steve Carell doesn't come close to Ricky Gervais... He doesn't have the awkward timing of him and he makes it a light-version of the original one. It needs the silent tragedy!

I remember watching the American version in hospital about 4-5 years ago when it first aired. It was unbearable. Has it improved?

2nd and 3rd seasons are the best imo. Love The Office, both US and English versions.

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
