Flint: Byrd? You mean the guy who has rescinded his membership of the KKK on multiple times, has not paid any dues since the early 50's, goes out of his way to ensure young white men do not join the KKK and generally does his best to ensure there is no discrimination? Way to count him.... As opposed to the guy who was a paying member, couldn't get on any democrat ticket, did get on the republican one and won a seat somewhere?

I agree with undead:P
I think one reason things are so deadlocked in government nowadays is that people have lost their individuality.  Its always this party says that, that party says this.  Its never(or rarely) a democrat or republican saying i disagree with both parties, this is why and i will stand my ground regardless of how unpopular it is, or how much pressure is being put on the individual to provide support to their sworn party.  I also disagree with this 2 party system this country seems to be turning into.  Whenever i vote, i find an underdog i agree with and vote for them, rather than OBAMA vs MCCAIN.  I did not vote this past election unfortunately because i lost my wallet the day before and could not prove i existed, but i assure you next election i will be there.

A lot of people who call themselves Democrats are just sensitive about racial issues, and they scream racism at an incident without knowing the circumstances, and sometimes not even what racism is.

...So when Republicans give out visa's and citizenship in order to gain votes during their elections, to help keep them in power, what's that supposed to be?  Giving illegal immigrants a free ride across the border for their votes, and calling it "legal"?  Sounds to me like dirty politics.

25,000 is part of the normal allowed LEGAL immigration.

10 to 18 million is a big difference also.


For the record I am anti amnesty, pro increasing/decreasing immigration rates per 2 year reviewed cycle.

If you have a problem with the methods used to allow legal immigration, Key, go ahead and site us sources and make your case. Doesn't sound like racism from anything you have mentioned, however. That those immigrants from Mexico intelligent and honorable enough to immigrate to the good old US of A legally didn't vote for the welfare-bum socialist candidate doesn't really speak ill of them. Not sure what you wanted us to get from that.
