Re:

Bernanke, Geithner and Obama are insane.

Printing money for other national central banks is "safe" because they are more "responsible"?  We're screwed the day they link up against "uncle shylock".  They did it with 'nationalized' American property in Iran, Cuba and China.  They do it every month at the UN.  why why why put our national balls in the mangle and give them the handle? WHY???

Re:

Dude. I'm american. And i'm rather plugged into the underbelly of the US its already proven that they dislike the direction the country is heading. Do you really want to make the capital London of a Union where there is no longer the US? Without the US Constitution? Seriously? You call yourself a republican and yet you hold with making central banks essentially kings overall.

Re:

You want to know how to protect the US's Interests? Abolish the federal reserve and return to a goods backed currency without us paying interest on our own damned money that is being unconstitutionally produced. Congress itself was given the right to print American money. The Fed usurped the constitution with bribes and lies and Flint wants to support them more and give them more control. Brilliant way of safe guarding our country Mr. Republican Politician.

Of course I hate a 1 world government, and our Constitution or war imho. This means England can apply to be our 51st State, but we can spit in the face of France and Germany when they beg to join.

And Italy and Greece are "Western." You haters can stfu. Greece laid the foundations of Western civilization, and Rome adapted, improved upon and spread it. Though Greece also spread Western Civilization under Alexander The Great and his successors, their success was short lived and the borders of Western Civilization contracted with Persian, and later Muslim expansion. Furthermore, I tried to limit my borders to Russia, but I consider western Russia mostly Western as well. Israel and Japan are also vaguely Western, although I did not include them because both countries, while heavily influenced by the West, have effectively adapted Western influence in to their own cultures (like Japanese anime), and Japan strongly maintains its own unique identity. That said, I think it would be cool if Japan were to be part of a Western Union.

Sadly, I agree that a Western Union is impractical today. Nevertheless, I think the idea would be cool, and may not be as foolish of an idea in the distant future.

Re:

Let me be specific Chris I do no advocate a revolution outside of the voter style revolution where we vote everyone out repub and demo and vote new people in. However that doesn't make me blind to what our country is stirring up among most of the disaffected populace which is no longer Urban African-Americans or Latinos. It's Veterans and Middle age white folks who have the financing to start actually becoming a threat to the country. I'm personally banking on the US destroying itself due to monetary policy reasons long before we have the revolution though.

Okay Bief. If you say so... They are still Westerners, even if you do not like them or want them included in any union.

True. The only justification I have is that I think it would be cool, and that such an Empire would be invincible. Not even China could hope to measure up to it.

Re:

German anger at the 750billion Euro Greek bailout is swelling as world markets slid after initial excitement at the bailout fizzled.

The headline on the front page of Germany's biggest newspaper, Bild, summed up the national mood, declaring: 'We are once again the schmucks of Europe!'

Meanwhile world stocks and the Euro dropped sharply today as the massive relief rally triggered by the plan to contain Europe's debt crisis fizzled out.

In Europe, the FTSE 100 index of leading British shares was down 107.88 points, or 2 per cent, at 5,279.54 while Germany's DAX fell 52.95 points, or 0.9 per cent, to 5,964.96.

The CAC-40 in France was 72.23 points, or 1.9 per cent, lower at 3,648.06.

A German stockbroker in Frankfurt puts a hand to his head as he watches the computer screens today. The German stock market slipped today amid German anger and fears over the European bailout

Meanwhile on Wall Street, the Dow Jones industrial average was down 99.46 points, or 0.9 per cent, at 10,685.68 soon after the open while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 12.02 points, or 1 per cent, to 1,147.71.
All the world's major indexes enjoyed one of their best days in months yesterday after the European Union unveiled the massive 750billion Euro financial support package to defend the euro and prevent the debt crisis that started in Greece from spreading to other big debtor countries like Portugal and Spain.

'Markets are giving up a portion of yesterday's sharp gains as some of the bailout-fuelled euphoria in Europe has died away,' said David Jones, chief market strategist at IG Index.

Though the package has helped ease near-term concerns about a wave of defaults across Europe, concerns about the solvency of the indebted countries remain - whether governments, which are still running sky-high deficits, will be able to push through massive austerity measures for years to come.

'Unless measures are taken to deal with the underlying structural problems affecting the most indebted of eurozone nations, then the bailout package merely kicks the can down the road,' said Michael Hewson, analyst at CMC Markets.

In Germany, the uncertainties were having a far more immediate effect.

Hard-pressed taxpayers - led by a flailing coalition government that could be the template for one soon to be assembled in the UK - are being asked for more sacrifices to save a currency they never wanted at a time when the country has record postwar debt.

Britain's bill for the bailout varies between
