for those that cant do the calcs:
10 bombers = 65% chance to win
15 bombers = 80% chance to win
22 bombers = 90% chance to win

i usually stick with 12 bombers to 1 laser, but sometimes u have to gamble that your enemy is planning to laser a bit in near future....u can do 20 to 1 or 30 to 1, etc, just to be safe

What cash is saying is mathematicly correct, but he takes some assumptions on how the game calculates it, and also the formula is hard to implement on higher number of lasers, since its a binomial model. Aggregated i would assume it to aproximate a standard normal distribution. That would imply that when hitting a large amount of lasers, you would need only to send for example 10,1 bomber per lasers, since the variance would be almost insignificant compared to the number of bombers/lasers.
