Think on it, how mant others in this nation are upset? Only one other group fits the bill but I left them out. Hardcore liberals would be the 4th. They have done, or planned 3 major attacks recently, the pentagon attack, the IRS attack, and the planned attack upon police.

However it does fit with certain leftist methodology (ala Weather Underground) the timing of the attack would seem to suggest otherwise.

Therefore there would only be three groups remaining.

Currently the group around the world with the most experience with car bombs is Islamic extremists. However ineptly this bomb was made it was a car bomb and the city is the #1 target in America for Islamic extremists. Therefore it is logical to include them.

Now timing has a play for illegal aliens. Between May Day and Cinco De Mayo (sp?) This is the perfect time for them to get ANGRY over the very recent Arizona law. The illegal aliens account for more crime in border states than their statistical population would normally indicate. Kidnapping for instance, the #2 city in the world for kidnaps is now in the United States and this is solely a problem of illegal aliens in that city.

They have definitely got money on the line if involved in drugs or border running, New York city has a LOT of them (I think it is a protected status city) and it would get headlines. So they get added to the list.

Anti-government is right now the TEA Party people, the Libertarians, and mostly others considered to be right of center. Right now tensions are high, anger is high, and a few sparks would ignite civil war via this section. Some fringers of it could seek to harm a typical hardcore example of the hard left, cause fear and mayhem that could be pointed to our percieved super enemy, Islamic extremists, and such. Now while there are left of center anti-government types, they are much less of them than right of center, and the location makes no sense for left of center types who would more directly aim at a government office (historically only one targeted businesses, a few major events, most left of center have focused on, or were mostly focused on government agencies such as the police)

They get included for the anger currently happening in the United States.

I left out stupid choices like racists.... more likely to target a church, synogue, or public center.... like the Tamil Tigers (location, the group is almost entirely destroyed, etc), Irish Seperatists (location), and what not.

Mine was an educated guess. I have a background in security, I wrote a book on it, and in the next few months I intend to hire a publisher for it.

- hardcore republicans are rather upset with the health care reform (you proved that alright!)
- a random lunatic like that chap who flew his small aiplane into a building a few years ago, or the kind that goes on a shooting spree in a school
- Anarchists
- a person who wants revenge
- a violent communist(ic faction)
- Eastern Europe group who's upset their country joined the Western NATO

Never exclude possibilities from the start.
But you missed my real intention. You just list all possibilities with "anti-government"; but as a xenophobe you feel the need to disinguish 2 seperate categories..
