Kudos to Geico.

As for the actor he addressed the message about tea partiers and left his number.  So they get to call him.

Re: GEICO Voiceover Actor Fired for Insulting teh Wingers

After reading some of the Tea Party's views and their members personal opinions, i'm sorry to say that the majority of Tea Party members ARE racist homophobic jack asses.

Several Tea Party members from the south of the mason dixie line, don't believe a black president is very good.  Plus the spitting and racial slurs hurled at several black senators during a Tea Party rally was very unbecoming to people who wanted to, "Take back america".  Clearly they want to take us back to the 1960's segragation crap all over again.  Tea Party has already turned back members of the Klu Klux Klan and members of the Neo-Nazi party, because they don't want their good name besmirched.

But reading news stories from all over the country...it's already besmirched.

A $100,000 prize and several smaller prizes exist, to prove anyone hurled racist content via video during the Senators watch.

Senate aides, Tea Party Protestors, and News Media all were present in force and with so many webcams as to be believed.

No one has the film.

In otherwords: "YouTube or it did not happen".

Worse is that Key only gets his information from one side. The MicroSoft No Black Channel known as MSNBC or some other similarly tainted network where real discrimination happens from.

Racism is not the goal here, killing those who want our tax dollars is not the goal (yet), it is about REDUCING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IN SCOPE AND POWER AND DROPPING TAXES.

'Tea party' protesters accused of spitting on lawmaker, using slurs

By Paul Kane
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, March 20, 2010; 10:25 PM

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus said that racial epithets were hurled at them Saturday by angry protesters who had gathered at the Capitol to protest health-care legislation, and one congressman said he was spit upon. The most high-profile openly gay congressman, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), was heckled with anti-gay chants.

What, and when?
Republicans rally Tea Party activists to oppose the health-care legislation

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) issued a statement late Saturday saying that he was spit upon while walking to the Capitol to cast a vote, leading the Capitol Police to usher him into the building out of concern for his safety. Police detained the individual, who was then released because Cleaver declined to press charges.

"The congressman was walking into the Capitol to vote, when one protester spat on him. The congressman would like to thank the U.S. Capitol Police officer who quickly escorted the other Members and him into the Capitol, and defused the tense situation with professionalism and care," said Danny Rotert, a spokesman for Cleaver.

Protesters outside the Capitol hurled epithets at Reps. John Lewis (D-Ga.) and Andre Carson (D-Ind.) as they left the building after President Obama delivered an 11th-hour speech on behalf of the health care bill. Carson told reporters that protesters yelled "kill the bill," then used a racial epithet to describe Carson and Lewis, who is a revered figure on both sides of the aisle.

According to observers, Frank was confronted by about 100 protesters inside the Longworth House Office Building, where Democrats were huddling for another meeting about the legislation. Some targeted Frank with anti-gay epithets and urged him to vote against the bill.

Democratic leaders and their aides said they were outraged by the day's behavior. "I have heard things today that I have not heard since March 15, 1960, when I was marching to get off the back of the bus," said House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the highest-ranking black official in Congress.

And Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) said in a statement, "On the one hand, I am saddened that America's debate on health care -- which could have been a national conversation of substance and respect -- has degenerated to the point of such anger and incivility. But on the other, I know that every step toward a more just America has aroused similar hate in its own time; and I know that John Lewis, a hero of the civil rights movement, has learned to wear the worst slurs as a badge of honor."

"This is not the first time the congressman has been called the "n" word and certainly not the worst assault he has endured in his years fighting for equal rights for all Americans," said Rotert, Cleaver's spokesman. "That being said, he is disappointed that in the 21st century our national discourse has devolved to the point of name-calling and spitting."

Cleaver Steadfastly Refuses to Discuss Spitting Incident
Eric Burke, edited by Jason Vaughn
March 30, 2010

KANSAS CITY, MO - U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver voted in favor of the controversial health care reform bill, but talk isn't raging about how voted, but whether or not he was purposely spit on as he and other congressmen made their way to the U.S. Capitol building to cast their vote.

In video of the incident, a man is seen with his hands around his mouth and yelling at the Kansas City, Missouri, Democrat as he walked by. The footage shows Rep. Cleaver reacting to the man, and is seen a few seconds later wiping his face.

The video is not clear as to whether or not the man spit in Cleaver's face intentionally, or if it was a matter of "say it, don't spray it." Rep. Cleaver never commented on the incident, but it didn't take long before many people claimed that he was spit upon.

In an interview on Tuesday with FOX 4 News, Rep. Cleaver would not directly answer the question of whether or not he was intentionally spit upon.

"I haven't talked about this incident on TV or anywhere, and I've been approached to talk about it on every national TV show," said Rep. Cleaver in an interview with FOX 4 News. "I never, I never reported anything, never a single thing in Washington, not one thing. People assume I went somewhere, never done press conference, never done an interview on it and I'm not going to do it."

Rep. Cleaver's refusal to discuss the incident has not stopped the speculation, including claims that the incident never happened, or that the story was manufactured to discredit conservatives who demonstrated against health care reform.

Rep. Cleaver says that he wants to put the incident behind him.

"All I'm saying is we all have to defuse it, and I think it is not in my best interest or in the best interest of this nation to stoke it," said Rep. Cleaver. "I've avoided doing and I will continue to do it."

Critics say that the issue is not going to go away.

"It incumbent upon him to down play it, if truly he's interested in diffusing the anger and hostility out there, then acknowledge it was a man just wanting to be heard," said conservative radio talk show host Chris Stigall.

But Rep. Cleaver is standing his ground on the incident. He says that if the spitting incident hadn't been caught on tape, no one would have ever known because he wouldn't have made it an issue.

"What ever they say is fine with me, I'm not going to get into the issue," said Rep. Cleaver. "I didn't even plan to have it known by anybody."

Shuler changes story on what he heard at health care protests
Congressman now says he heard slurs directed at Frank, not Cleaver
From staff reports

Published: Friday, April 16, 2010 at 4:30 a.m.
Last Modified: Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 7:54 p.m.
U.S. Rep. Heath Shuler is distancing himself from comments he made to the Times-News last month, stating he heard racial slurs yelled from a crowd of angry health care protesters outside the U.S. Capitol.

On March 20, black Democratic congressmen John Lewis, Andre Carson and Emanuel Cleaver said they heard the N-word as they walked to the Capitol to vote on health care. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who is gay, said anti-homosexual epithets were yelled at him.

At that time, Shuler told the Times-News he was walking toward the Capitol with Cleaver when protesters began yelling racial epithets at Cleaver.

On Wednesday, Shuler told The Associated Press that he heard slurs against Frank, but not Cleaver.

The issue of whether the N-word was used has turned into a political battle, with many conservatives skeptical that it happened and some saying the congressmen lied. The three congressmen say they are telling the truth.

As a black conservative and member of the Tea Party, Deneen Borelli (pictured above) says she's been called an "oreo" and an "Uncle Tom."

In fact, according to Borelli, there would be more black people at Tea Party events like Thursday's tax day protests if blacks weren't afraid of the backlash they would receive from family and friends.

Borelli thinks Tea Party members have been unfairly branded as racists when their main concern is promoting individual responsibility and smaller government.

Re: GEICO Voiceover Actor Fired for Insulting teh Wingers

With questions like this determining that they're racists, obviously you would come to that conclusion, Key.

"When read the statement that "if blacks would only try harder, they could be just as well off as whites," 73 percent of the movement's supporters agreed, while only 33 percent of people who disapproved of the Tea Party agreed. Asked if blacks should work their way up "without special favors," as the Irish, Italians, and other groups did, 88 percent of supporters agreed, compared to 56 percent of opponents."

But anyone with an education knows that your conclusion is backwards. To claim that blacks are incapable of being as well off as whites is racist--and Tea Party supporters are less likely to hold this view than those who disapprove of the Tea Party. To claim that blacks should get "special favors" presumes that they're incapable of fending for themselves like every other race since the beginning of mankind has done--a very offensive, racist position, which Tea Party supporters are less likely to hold than those who disapprove of the Tea Party.

When ignorant nonsense like this is the basis of your claims, perhaps you should examine your claims. Maybe people who disagree with the Tea Party's focus on unsustainable spending not addressing this objection and instead focusing on nonexistent racism don't have a response to the common-sense objections the Tea Party supporters have to spending like Greece to financial ruin? Why isn't the ideological response to the Tea Party's ideological objection in the news? What is the response? Obama/Biden spending to prosperity? Why doesn't Greece just do that now? Because nobody but morons believes that nonsense.

Welcome to the real world. Nobody has proven these allegations. And even more important than that (which is very significant by itself): You wouldn't accuse everyone who supports welfare and social security and other liberal agenda items of being crazy terrorists, as do exist among those with liberal agendas. They're not. So why this craze to label Tea Party members as racists and potentially harmful because some of their members COULD be racist or harm someone? People on the left [and right] already have shown themselves to be crazy. Isn't the real story here that NO ONE in the Tea Party has given you a single credible example of being what you're claiming they all are? Yes. It is.

Re: GEICO Voiceover Actor Fired for Insulting teh Wingers

Your a Tea bagger arn't you?

"But anyone with an education knows..."

So people without an education just don't know no better.  That's not very good grounds for an arguement.  Considering many of our nations brightest failed general schooling.  Saying you have to be educated to have proper reasoning denotes...I don't know, racism on your part.  The educated and the non-educated, or the not very well educated.

I'll be perfectly blunt, I have relatives in Oklahoma and their racist, their proud to be racist, and they make racist remarks all the time.  And they are Tea baggers.  Most of the general news either on tv or pictures on the news, shows predominately white america spouting some pretty hateful stuff.  And with 75% of Tea baggers generally believe that the american president of the united states doesn't deserve to be president because apparently he wasn't born in the united states.

Coming down with a hypocritical arguement that 75% of Tea Baggers are BIRTHERS, i'm going to say they'll have to do better than that to prove that their not bigots and racists.  Well he's a black man, and he's a muslim, so therefor I dont' want him as president is the BIRTHER arguement.  A lame ass excuse as I ever heard one.  "I don't care for him," she said, "he hasn't chosen a church and I believe he's a close muslim."

That's pretty damn racist in my book.  So don't get all poetic on me about "anyone with an education knows".  I graduated highschool, never been to college, and I had to deal with a lot of public stupidity from people that thought they were more "educated" than me.

Don't try to place your arguement on intelligence.

Re: GEICO Voiceover Actor Fired for Insulting teh Wingers

"So people without an education just don't know no better.  That's not very good grounds for an arguement." blah blah blah blah...

It was followed with an explanation of the study you used to support your claim being completely backwards. If you're not going to address my addressing your content, don't bother. tongue

"Saying you have to be educated to have proper reasoning denotes...I don't know, racism on your part."

After not addressing my response/attack on your content, you went on to call me racist for addressing your content... without explaining why... or addressing my addressing of your content.

"That's pretty damn racist in my book."

"That" isn't what 75% of them believe. You made up that number.

I don't have a masters degree, and I got very, very tired of academia before getting what I did. I can certainly appreciate that there are many types of intelligence and many ways to be educated and topics to be educated on entirely apart from academic institutions and the pieces of paper they give out in return for hundreds of thousands of your hard-earned dollars. I wasn't referring to 'education' as schooling and using it as a divisive measure of a person's ability to comprehend and contribute. I merely referenced education in attacking the study you cited because it didn't nearly show what it/you claimed it did.

If you don't want to respond to that content, you can always call me a racist, ignoring the fact that I firmly believe that a man's inherent dignity is not dependent upon the color of his skin.

Edit: PS. I think you meant "you're," which is a contraction of "you" and "are," not "your." They're not even pronounced the same way. At least, they weren't when we taught our kids how to speak English. But this is just the trolling intro to my clarification that I am not a "tea bagger," member of any Tea Party movement, nor a Republican or Democrat (nor socialist nor libertarian).

PPS. I noticed you asked if I was a "tea bagger" but didn't respond to the content of the ideology and ideological arguments which I brought up. If you want to have a contest of sharp wit and name-calling, void of content, be open about it and let's get it started!

Racist denotes hateful, or bigoted remarks towards more than sex, race, religion, INTELLIGENCE.   Your attack with the remark, "anyone with an education knows", means you attacked peoples intelligence, therefor yah i'm calling you a racist.

Bullshit.

Acknowledging that stupid people misinterpret a study and therefore what they think of a study is not important is not racist. Sorry.

""Duh, I went to higher schools of learning, duh, I got drunk in college and learned stuff, duh, then I went to a universitahduh, that means everyone else does not know any better duh.""

I clarified after you first misunderstood me that I was not referring to schooling when I referenced education. I repeat, my reference to education was merely a part of attacking your linked news piece on a survey which I objected to the claims made over. You have repeatedly ignored the content and made up this claim that I was being stuck up. You're just embarrassing yourself. tongue
