Sure
Thanks. I've been playing around with the php myself and fixed a couple things but I'm still getting blank maps. :s
Hmm, what have you changed?
Just a couple references to where files are stored (so as to be able to get all the families in a system as opposed to just the ones with people occupying them) and I stripped out a couple characters that were redundant/didn't have a pair.
I still can't figure out why, when it's stripping the data, it isn't saving the systems or family data into the master file. I've pulled apart one of the .dat files with a hex editor and not nly is it not putting the systems in it's also not putting in the family numbers or systems.
Ya, fix please Smartys
- Had sent you a memo on IRC.
AntBriWes: Wait, so did you edit the PHP?
Torqez: Haha, yeah, I'm never on IRC anymore. Popping on now.
Yes, but only slightly. I was getting some minor bugs on my end when hosting it locally. I fixed the bugs and changed a couple target paths. That's about all I did.
Hmm, weird. It's working fine for me locally. ![]()
Any idea what's causing the problem?
No, because it's working fine from my perspective. I'll keep debugging though. I'm sending Torqez a working file.
Can you send me the diffs for the changes you've made? They might give me some clues. [email protected]
The only part of the php I changed other than file sources is moving the part labled "The number of sectors in the y direction" to the spot with the other lines similar to it.
Oh. That was there for a reason. :-P
It's actually how the IC Map Gen file format evolved. When the creator realized non-square numbers of sectors were possible, he added the Y sectors to the end to preserve backwards compatibility.
The problem with the website is that for some reason family rankings aren't being populated.
Ah, ok then. Oh, does your working .dat file have all 200 familys or just the ones that have people in them so far?
Only the ones with families, since I pull from the rankings page.
I ended up just making a file that looks somewhat similar to the rankings that has all familys in numbered order. If you'd like that I can send it to you.
Sure, I can work with that.
Sent to your gmail. Good luck.
been following the posts, still not working. However, I am currently looking for the SS SD map.. is there one where i can manually download it?
And check your inbox, you have a shiny new mapfile ![]()
Sup90: The script itself is fine, the website where it's hosted seems to be having issues downloading the rankings. I've created a mapfile and given it to the moderators.
Thanks much smartys. I'll be uploading it for others momentarily.
Hold off. There was a mistake.
Sent you a new one. One of the families you listed had the wrong coordinates.
