"Russian media reports said he had once become angry with a pilot who refused to land in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital, on the grounds that it was unsafe. The same thing may have happened at Smolensk, aviation experts claimed. They suggested he may have pressed the pilot to make at least two attempts to land. "

How thoughtful of the Russian press to scoop the entire planet - including Polish press-- with this story, so that we may properly understand what happened and put the blame on the Polish president! They certainly have their connections, don't they? Guy's been dead 24 hours and they publish an account of his emotional reaction to a pilot years ago in a foriegn country. They must have quite a file on him! Guess it paid off!
The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.
Steve Jobs has ruined this joke.
