Topic: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

If anyone here paid attention besides me, last year the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) ruled Carbon Dioxide a pollutant.

12 states are suing over this declaration.

As the intelligent know, carbon dioxide, also known as CO2 is what we breath out, what is produced by nature, and is required for life to exist on Earth.

Further the EPA declaration was based on faulty data the States, and I, contend. This faulty data includes melting of the Himalayan Glaciers (not happening), no food in Africa (Also not happening, though to be honest the said greatly reduced crop production), and Sea Levels rising at an alarming rate (also not happening)

The States are of course correct. So much evidence has come out showing Global Warming was a conspiracy for funds, lofty positions, attention, and political gain. The various CliimateGate things have broken the hysteria including in Germany where 55% of the population now discredits AGW.

This lawsuit however opens an important gate, with states suing, individuals and companies may now sue backers of 'Global Warming' directly for damages.

as more states reject the economic suicide of Green Socialism, and as the federal Republican party melts down into goo at the prospect of actually having to do something... a constitutional convention becomes more and more likely

The EPA recommends you all stop breathing. Effective immediately.

"If anyone here paid attention besides me, last year the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) ruled Carbon Dioxide a pollutant."

How wrong you are. They didn't consider it to be pollutant, but they considered that it's a major contributor to global climate change. There's a difference.

Yah, I mean 8 billion people on the earth, you think we just couldn't start breathing shallow or something.

big_smile Let's all hyperventalate and show those EPA bastards a lesson!

And if your going to say 12 states, at least list the state names.  I want to know if my state is wasting MY TAX MONEY on this crap.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

and the glaciers melting of etc is al just a hoax? readings of the chart too? lol.

it's not 100% certain that humans are responsible for the climatewarming but saying: we shouldn't try anything or try to prevent it because we're not sure it's our fault is like saying we shouldn't prevent a murder because we're not sure the said person is gonna go through with it.

so I'm guessing this is just another blind: i support this party so I must support everything they say.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

Well that's like saying, Human involvement isn't part of the equation.  Of course we're part of the equation, though politicians are argueing what exact, and i mean exact, percentage of involvement we're part of.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

einstein now you're comparing total bogus with somethign that has scientific proof it is happening.

but yeah you're right. it's probably just a worldwide conspiracy. all scientists and researchers in the world are being bribed into forging results.

I bet it's facism and communism joining hands to overthrow the world as we know it. cause that's what you blind I follow that party like to do. define everythign they don't like as communism or facism.

world would be better of without ignorant ppl like you in my opinion. if you want to deny something pick something that can't be observed worldwide.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

OOohhhhh so we go from saying

"omg looky the hockey stick, there is no doubt humans are responsible because nothing in the physical universe can cause this"

To

"Its certainly not been proved that is beyond probability that if human emissions had some effect on climate, by some undiscovered process, that it might not function much as climate has behaved over the past decade"

Whatever, gtfo of my wallet

We need to have nightly torchlight processions and bonfires to protest CO2 regulation

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

In respect to global warming, there are some problems going on with the planet, namely the unusual weather. I rule that to be another Ice Age preparing itself though, as history must repeat itself. Now, personally, if another Ice Age occurs, we as humans must find a way to AVOID screwing up the natural process of things (that and I can always use more souls).

Otherwise, where exactly is this scientific proof Tommie? linkify me?

and fascism, not facism.

oh and tommie, if you're american, I'd hardly say you're allowed to call someone else ignorant. At least provide us with some kind of evidence as to how you're not ENTIRELY ignorant. I mean, Flint isn't completely ignorant. He can type fairly well without misspelling most words. Christopher Balsz, Jr. is a cheeky fellow. (Big cheeks actually)(evil cheeks too)(a little perky though) As an American, I am ignorant too, but that's because I ignore crap and tend to be optimistic. But I see a lot wrong with the world. In all honesty, if I owned a country, first thing i'd do would be get rid of change. I mean, pennies, nickels? Who needs that crap? It's just weight on your back.

Also in respect to above the previous, if I owned a country, I'd make sure everyone was equal. No rich people allowed. No one would need money to buy food, my government would give it out. The army is voluntary although in times of war, drafts may be required. My military will have all it needs, money etc. In order to buy, er, weapons, yes, that's it, weapons. If people try to depose me, I will "kindly" put them down. May involve a little pain, but we make sure that the people know whose in charge. We also focus heavily on putting my people first, after me of course, and my generals, and other cabinet members, and military...soldiers. Yeah.

There is five times more scientists against global warming than for it.

Find the thread on it and my posts for links to the truth.

and yesterday 10 out of 11 computers from a weatherpredictionstation predicted it would rain today. 1 said sun and today it's sunny.

strange huh. according to your theory: it's 10 vs 1 on rain today. so it can't possibly not rain today.

scientists are ppl and they make mistakes too. in fact most famous scientists of the past were seen as mistaken when they made a discovery other ppl didn't like:

the earth is round, the universe doesn't revolve around the sun, etc.

the arguments for the climate is changing:
tests on icelayers in north pole
slowing down currents in sea
stronger winters, warmer summers
migrating animals

argumants against:
for every "scientist" that believes in change, there are 5 that don't?

I'm not saying it's 100% sure that humans are for most part responsible, I'm not saying these climate changings is an alonestanding event;
but declaring: it's all a hoax while changes are happening all around you is just being blind.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

I don't believe "belief" is necessary.  We were told there was 'understandign' of the physical process of greenhouse gas.  We were told to understand there was direct correlation between human industrial emissions and global, rapid temperature increases.

That is very different from arguing observed climate chaos makes doubting the probable impact of industrialization on climate, unproved!

if you don't know, get out of the laws!

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

So you know,  though this forum does not, despite mistakes in the past I am now a recognized math scientist in a subset of statistics for my final compression system which was vetted by peers as new, unique, and capable.

As a scientist I can tell you the IPCC ignored evidence,  altered evidence and failed to detect hundreds of other things that modify our atmosphere.

Their first versions was so flawed that merely planting tree's would have corrected their supposed imbalance.

But they persisted via censoring opposing views via all means possible.

They did it for money, politicians joined for votes and power, and the ignorant joined because they were told to be scared.

Just one website invalidates them

83%+ of the US Weather Stations are improperly placed and their bad info is why these scientists still try to challenge natural variability.

"The various CliimateGate things have broken the hysteria including in Germany where 55% of the population now discredits AGW."

I'd like to know where you got this from.

It is true the recent news about the people who wrote the most used report on global warming made mistakes and left behind information, which damaged the reliability of the report. But that does not mean global warming is not true, it might still be there.

What it does mean is that it is different from what the report has stated. Could be worse, could be less bad, could be non existent.
You seem to go with the last one.

Alright in my opinion, but last time I checked Germans were more concerned about global warming and believed in it.
55% not believing in global warming being caused by humans? Don't think so. Source please.

Reliable source please.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

I think there's honestly a balanced approach we can take...

I'm not 100% sure about the question of CO2-induced global warming, to be honest, which most statistics have tended to focus upon.  Assuming CO2-induced global warming is true, as a reminder, the solutions include various methods to reduce output from energy sources and industrial processes.

Consider that.  Flint probably would agree that we need to utilize alternative energy sources (though his justification, as well as mine, probably focuses much more on security and economic matters than environmental).  Thus, regardless of the question of whether global warming is true, mutual understanding can be reached toward reducing CO2 emissions.

Then there's methane emissions.  Methane is primarily produced by agricultural processes (manure from cattle is a big issue, although other forms of biological degeneration, such as human waste, can create the problem).  Now as bad as CO2 is, methane is probably a worse pollutant for global warming because it creates much harsher environmental reactions in the short term.  Biology might be able to adapt to a slow growth in temperatures, but oscillations in temperatures are extremely difficult to deal with.

How do we reach a conclusion about this?  Both Republicans and Democrats want clean water.  Animal waste from agriculture has been known to leak into rivers, especially in the US Midwest.  Human waste has caused similar problems in rivers, polluting drinking and agricultural waters.  Both parties know this, and have taken steps to alleviate this.

That's the inherent problem.  The debate is focused too much on the causes, and not the solutions.  Now I'm not saying we should try and fix global warming even if it doesn't exist.  Rather, my argument is that if advocates of fighting global warming were to step back and attempt to sell policies that didn't rely on solving global warming as their justification to pass, there would be much more bipartisanship seen.

Debate smarter, not harder.

As a test, Flint, answer this:  Would you be against either of the following policies:

Increasing incentives for research and development of alternative energy sources.
Increasing subsidies for animal farms to reprocess animal waste to reduce methane emissions (remember anerobic digesters?  That's a possibility).
Funding the creation of containment facilities for excess biological waste which can't be absorbed by the envioronment.

so we stopped

and it kept on

ps

DUDE never fund the CREATION of anything

fund its OPERATION

funding "creation" is how companies get $100 million from congress to "create" a railroad to nowhere

Except that funding creation of things is how we ended up with NASA, how Britain came up with synthetic sugars, and how hundreds of other important technologies which would have otherwise not have been created due to lack of demand at the time, were developed.

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

Not true in the case of technology development.  Take prescription drugs, for example.  The first pill costs $10 billion to create.  Every pill beyond that generally runs at only a couple dollars.  If subsidized, the cost to create that medicine is absorbed as a loss by the government, allowing new firms to enter the market at dirt cheap prices (not that I'm necessarily in favor of this specific instance... but it does help illustrate the point as an economic model).

Re: More State Lawsuits: 12 vs EPA

It is true in every field of human endeavor.  Maybe not 100% of the program is waste. Maybe not 50%.  Probably 90% is useful.

But when you only contract to CREATE a thing, and not to use it, then you flush a lot of money down the toilet.
