Michelle Obama is the nations newest Birther.

The Birther Movement questions Obama's eligibility to be President due to him being the first President to not reveal his original birth certificate in modern times.

They point to a variety of laws that prevent citizenship under certain circumstances and how evidence could prove he is ineligible to be President.

Obama has spent $3,000,000.00++ of his OWN MONEY to prevent public disclosure of his birth certificate. This of course has given fuel to those curious about the issue.

This comment by Michelle will be like adding napalm to the fire.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Oh, I thought that he actually was an Indonesian muslim from Hawai who was raised by two homosexual transgender fathers from Kenya. Or something.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

True, his secondary source is crap.  However, the primary source is a speech from Michelle Obama.  Please try and make the distinction in the future.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

You mean; a ripped out of context piece of a phrase of a speech? Or are we not making such farfetched distinctions?

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Yeah... the 8 second bit they had a link to probably sucks... try the 3 minute clips of the same speech, which you can find on the page where you view the 8 second versions...

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Please explain the "context" that makes the phrase "my husband's home country of kenya" mean anything other than "my hubby hail from Kenya"

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Who cares? Our country was bought a long time ago.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

I find it pathetic that this is what its come to so that people can discredit Barack Obama. Like your party has a leg to stand on after Bush Einstein

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

It is possible to call another country your 'home country' without it meaning that is where you were born. If one's family was from a country (A) but you were born in a different country (B), even if your parents were also born in county B you may still consider your home land as A and say so even though you were born in B.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Yeah I know... There's nothing wrong with it though it's not like he is secretly working with Kenyan agenda or anything. The reason why that is in the constitution is to prevent Treason mainly.

On a personal note I know many people from Kenya and they are all good and well meaning people.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Well, it's there to ensure someone doesn't have mixed loyalties which may reorient their priorities.  Not necessarily treason.  But still, unless you're going to change the constitution, you can't just dismiss it outright.

By the way, if it's true, it would also mean he deliberately (because he probably knows where he was born) misled the country about his place of origin, which would pretty much be really bad for that person's credibility as an honest leader of a country.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

here there are chinese people who are 3rd generation NZ's who would still consider China as 'home' just because they have family there, or they see it as their ancestral homeland, and as such call it as one.... It may not be a true definition of the word, but that doesn't stop it being used as such...

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

Frankly, the question to ask here: Would the evidence provided above hold up in court as enough evidence to warrant such a conclusion?

Um... probably not...

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

One would assume that if even there is no reason to display such things as birt certificates to the public, there must be some sort of check done before he can be nominated as a candidate? Did this even come up during the primary? or has it been a republican dead horse all along?

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

it came up, and there's no check.  it turns out Hawaii says NOBODY can get a photostat of what passes in other states as a "birth certificate"; all they issue is a "certificate of live birth" sworn by some official who LOOKED at the birth certificate.

Personally I think if it were that easy to disqualify Obama, Bill Clinton would have seen to it years ago.

I just find it funny how the "birthers' are somehow kooks.  If you don't like the plain language of the Constitution, amend it. Am I supposed to think, "today Barack Obama...tomorrow they could come for ME"?  I had to get proof of my US birth when I turned 18.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

It jsut kind of seems silly that it is theoritically possible to get into office against the law, when really it should be checked at some point before that.... The fact he is sworn in seems to indicate that he was US born. As you say, the Clinton's didn't swear blue murder over the point, and if anyone would it was them...

the "birthers" would probably be the first to pull a gun at the mention of National ID Cards tongue

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

I promote a Federal ID card, and since Obama is hiding it, I am a birther.

But then I would promote attesting noncitizens as enemy spies with a dice roll for one of three fates: execution, prison, or deportation.

Re: Michelle Obama... "My husbands home country of Kenya"

yes, but maybe people like you flint should never be allowed near a decision making process.... And does he not have the right to some privacy? Quite obviously he has proven to those who need evidence shown too that he is eligible or he never would of been able to run in the first place.... I mean why would the democratic party throw so much support behind Obama from so early when they had Hillary to promote as well? This is all just a conspiracy for the sake of having a conspricy... it's worse than 911 kooks...
