More likely his own troops would have strapped a bomb to Napoleans chest.  Obviously going to war is an unhealthy risk, like smoking.

I read an interesting history of the Russian campaign. Little known fact but this guy ran the numbers...from fatigue, disease and skirmishes, napoleon already lost 1/3 of his army by the time he fought and won Borodino

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

Technically, Napoleon lost almost his entire army after the war. Then came the brits! big_smile

the irony being, after Napoleon, the french haven't won a single war since. They only "win" wars that their allies win.
