Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

25 had shit position at start and still came out on top.. We did fight wars, but we did so well on infrawhoring other fam decided not to war and give 150 planets.. So really not getting your point Silv... lol

+ u won last war obviously because u started saving like a week in front. And tryme screwed us over.. so much for that

If u spell TRYME in scrabble, u win! Forever!

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

Wouter, we didn't start saving a week in advance, Temp and Parrot cancelled the nap on an impulse coz they were bored!

<Mizzle> ive been in a jailcel for the first time of my life during this night lol

<KT> possibility?
<genesis> tryme is a bit of an idiot
<Torqez> bit?

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

Let me just butt in here for a second.

Parrot informed me he was cancelling "in 7 ticks" when I woke up. My fam had no savings besides the fam bank that was being kicked around for infra jumps. You (25) didn't fight wars for one reason or another, and the eventual war with 26/28 was a huge let down on your side (statistically speaking, 26/28 was up ~250 planets by the end of war). 26 had no infra all round because we fought all round, hence for the less than impressive jump. As for Tryme screwing you guys over, that's obviously an extrapolation of what had occurred previously.

I'm okay with giving 25 (especially Link) credit for good diplomacy, but I agree with Parrot that the bragging about "winning size" needs to be toned down a bit. As for Render, you guys did just fine, you played the cards you were dealt and played them well. Just remember that you couldn't come into sector 3 until 2 days left of the round wink heehee.

Also, I don't appreciate this Silv bashing that's been getting around. He's a very capable and most certainly an impact player. After brett's surprise departure, he had to adjust mid-round to become the best resourcer (this is no coincidence, he was making more than all the resourcers combined for any given fam). Yes, Parrot carried the family (hell, alliance) in attacking, there's no denying that, he is simply that good. But without Silvarian, I could also argue that 28 wouldn't've been a top fam due to lack of all around infra. Don't bash Silv until you've played in the same fam/alliance with him, because you don't understand what he brings to the table on a consistent basis.

Also, like Parrot pointed out, this was the first round that my fam didn't have the best infra in a while, so it was definitely challenging but I think we made the best of it. There were many capable players in our fam who picked up the slack when others had to deal with real life issues, players such as Blue, TT, tezcatli and Kahlan, who were previously unheard of by the IC community really helped making this one of the memorable rounds I have ever played. The truth is, I had a great time winning with this same bunch last round that they were the reason I decided to stick around.

And with the reshuffle, come my time to take a break from this game.

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

It is fun!

Over the years I have had many brakes, but also played in Tri,Andro, Mw, PW, Capri "several" times...

This is the only galaxy/round where I have seen / heard a fam bitching over lossing a war because they only had 1 share tongue

Bad planning ftw? wink

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

@Swarley:

Where did you get all those 250 planets? Did you just calculate what we lost and assumed you won all those? Because there was tons of planets blown up in that war...

Also, why we could not brag about size? Did we do something dishonorable to gain our planets?

@Rin:

If you take into consideration that Tryme

-- net gained by 26/28 at the end of the conflict with 25/27/23, I realized that 25 eventually had around the same number of planets as they started, thus in my opinion, it was a let down because despite 3v2 and a significante economic advantage, you guys were unable to capitalize.

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

@Templare
net gained planets by your alliance -> 95 planets

net loses by 3225 -> 96 planets

net gained by 3223 -> 76 planets

So pls tell me how is that amount nearly 250 planets.
Come on, if you feel like you won that war well you can try to convince yourself about it, I won't mind it, maybe your alliance is up by 20 planets, but 3225 won the round and their ally was runner-up, so I find it hard to see how you won the war, really wink

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

1) Render your alliance was down 20 planets and mine was up 95 planets (I think you attribute the difference to what 27 lost...maybe?), is this not a good indication that we won despite lack of economy? tongue The whole point of our war was to challenge the top family, because we would not win otherwise. It was mostly done for the lulz because both Parrot and I realize that we wouldn't be able to out-jump 25 so may as well fight at a time that is better for us than wait for them to cancel.

1    ^^ GEESE Will Rock YOU! ^^ (3225) [15,7]    1620    10636464    135968
5    Moons of Saturn (3223) [49,12]    1169    7136739    87563

Total Size = 2789
Total NW = 17.7mil +

2) I never claimed that our alliance won the round, I was just merely stating that 25 won the round in a less-than-impressive fashion tongue

edit: 250 may have been a gross overexaggeration, but the fact that you guys had a net loss of almost 100 planets...I mean... wink

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

ok you tried it and was fun, that's the important at the end smile
and considering 27 joined the action, well, you did it quite well imo.

Now gonna figure the scenary if Silva hadnt cleared my share (accidentally ofcourse) because I guess that was bad for your alliance:

We had Rin infild and saw his jump, 500k figs plus the ones he already had, so I jumped 600k figs. Our plan was good until Silva cleared me (just the previous tic my figs were coming). But what had happened if I could keep that share?
I woulda tried to run Parrot's figs (not run exactly, but yes reduce). That was the plan, both our NW would decrease, so he woulda taken all those planets to 25 without blowing them all, and I woulda been able to attack more players also in your fam.

I mean, if Silva hadnt cleared me bfore war, 3228 would have gained much more planets in this war smile think about it

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

I mean, I don't really know what happened besides Silva copying and pasting, and Parrot pointed out that it was your portal and not 25. This is just what I saw while I was in chat. There were a lot of blown planets during the war yes, our goal was just trying to kill as much infra as possible (this is what our jump was geared towards, I had enough leftovers to jump 400k more figs, on top of my 300k jumped, but decided not to tongue), rather than really gain planets since we know it'll be difficult for us to keep planets so close to their core. It was enjoyable running fleet and killing infra to say the least tongue

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

Is it our fault if other fams in the galaxy could not give us enough challenge (fighitng or diplo), so that we would have needed to impress ppl? wink

Another question... is it possible that the round was easy for us because we played it well? And by that I mean that we had such a good diplo, timing and infrawhoring that we didn

And I think 25 did the best in diplomacy. We were surrounded by other fams and in the beginning there were some that expected us to get farmed real soon.... But we weren't... So I think 25 did the best this round end that can be seen by the size we had at EOR wink

We "had" to NAP you at BoR because we got screwed over, good job taking advantage of that and avoiding all other big wars.  Farming and Infrawhoring imo dont make you the winners of the round.  The only other big alliance you fought besides us, which you lost to btw, pussed out and gave you free 150 planets.  I guess that makes you the winner of being extremely lame.

I didnt mean to attack you and i had NO idea that was your only share.  But even if you had kept that share you cant just assume parrot wouldnt deportal it?  Or avoid you running his figs in another way.  This is parrot we are talking about hes not a noob you cant just run his figs that easily.

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

why do people in IC always try to talk down on people?

we (25) had a fun round, we had some new players in the fam and also some people who came back from a long break and we decided from the start to have a fun round and just let people try their strats instead of pushing people in directions. for example we let Zanharim go SS and we had a banker who went pop because he wanted to.

we were having fun (like it is supposed?) so Link got us some good naps because we know that with our activity and knowledge we wouldnt survive without Naps (good job Link!) after we got through explo phase everything was well so we wanted to go to war, we picked 29/32 because they were the biggest alliance at the time (this shows we are not scared) then 29 decided to not war us and 32 decided to be assholes by breaking a nap (<- this is what everybody hates in this game looking at the uni news?) so we punished them for that.

Then we had to rebuild some crap and then 26/28 decided to war us. that was a good move if they wanted to win the round. To bad for them we held on with less savings, it was a good effort from their side because we had to retake like mad. then the round ended and somehow after having the worst start position on the map and also following the FUN > WIN formula we still won in the end.

this is in my eyes a great accomplishment and shows we have style. but still people have to talk down on us just like they do all the time if they dont win. Why? Jealous?

Why do people do that all the time, why not admit the loss and go on and just have fun with eachother instead of trying to defend yourself or whatever the talking down is for. i for myself always try to respect people here and congratiolate them if they win. even if it means i lose or worse, get raped.

Please stop talking down on winners and just have fun!

I just wanna say i had a great round and i wish everyone a good next round (even though i am not playing)

my special thanks go to all fam members of 25,27,23 for being good allies. This was an epic round for me, one of the best ever. not just because we won but we had fun all the time smile i hope i will play with you all once more. if you wanna contact me, ACDC and System of a Down have me on facebook, you can find me through them.

Re: Pinwheel EOR Awards Votes

Last round was like that for my family.. everything was too easy.  We had best starting spot and everything went well for us.  End of round however my family lost to Lnsect because as a whole my family just wasnt as good as his.  We took a hit for our allies and they won size.

Lnsect's family however did not have allies and did a very good job.. I would'nt say that Templare's family won that round, it was a toss up and Lnsect's family may very well deserve the win for it, despite not being first in size.  So you see my logic and reasoning isnt selfish, I just try to look at all the facts and i give my honest oppinion.

lol your family had the best lineup i've seen in a while... you didnt need those NAPs really..

Also you saved and canceled on 29/32, they didnt have a chance because they just got out of a war with us where we crippled tryme's family pretty badly.. then you guys raped his family down to almost nothing...
