Topic: It's a first for our nation, never happened before... except maybe?

I do not think there has ever been laws passed to SUE the Federal Government, or to preemptively call pending legislation illegal, since well... maybe... the Civil War.


Announced is that one State has made it a law requiring their Attorney General to sue the moment the law is passed into law, and another State signing, the first of many States to do so, that forcing everyone to buy health insurance is illegal in their State.


Additionally a legal group, known for the high number of successful Supreme Court cases it brings (as well as cases settled lower than the Supreme Court) has placed a guidelines and avenue of lawsuit from a civil side should the bill be passed via current means (Aka the Slaughter solution).


As things get near a rally is being sent out, calling for either a day of strike, or a march on Washington... who knows, perhaps both will happen.

What is known is that this bill is extremely unpopular, so unpopular the Republican Party announced it will showcase all 'sweetheart deals' in the package, and use the healthcare bill and the deals as a primary weapon against the Democrats come the 2010 election.


The Democrats are moving forward, with the bill placed online for a 72 hour review period.



Phones are down at Washington DC, with to much call volume for most of the day for most people to get through.




The Republican Party also launched "Operation Code Red" and is meeting great success. Candidates who are taking strong anti-Socialist positions are reaping cash windfalls, such as Doug Hoffman, who is still a tea party favorite.


There are Republicans who are also planning to stage a TEA Party in the meeting rooms of Congress itself.

You republicans disgust me. How about instead of bitching and whining about this bill they actually do something productive?

Maybe help car companys develop more enviromentally friendly cars that get good gas milage? Oh wait they cant. The oil companys have them on their pay rolls. That and its not like republicans give a shit about the enviroment anyways.

Maybe help regulate wall street so this fiasco with the banks doesnt happen again. Ya know, make sure the CEOs of these corrupt banks dont profit by making shady deals. Oh wait, republicans cant do that either. They are paid off by the banks too. Hmmm

1) Banks
If banks were not required to give bs loans to people no sane person would loan $5 to, then there would be less issues. If we put a noose around the Fed then there would be no 'shady deals'.

2) Gay Marriage
Why fight for a title blacks and latinos do not wish you to have? 90%+ of them say no. Less so amongst all groups identifying as Christian. Go scream at the local Black Panther for keeping this title out of your hand.

Btw I am sure you could get a constitutional right and protections if you chose a different title... we has it first you greedy sob's! Go ruin something else instead of a word like gay.

Also if you only would agree to end government regulation of marriage then you could have the term then also.

I thought the $50,000 for a 2 door hatchback with a 40 mile range was to blame. Oh I see... you think we should all be forced to drive one!

Sad news for you. There is not enough lithium in the world for 200 mil green cars. New stuff like hydrogen fuel cells? You want to put 4 million fuel stations down asap at a cost of $150,000 minimum per station?

We already KNOW what happens, insurance will be locked into a "death spiral" and can't cover everybody for the premiums government allows them to charge.  Then everybody has to rely on government.  Happened in TN with TennCare.  In Massachusetts 68% of residents use govt insurance.

I think we need to return to the 19th century when people said "Hey this monopoly thing is BULLSHIT"

everybody needs insurance doesn't mean everybody get's sick.

say 1million get insurance and pay 1 dollar yearly. that's 1million dollars a year the company gets. then say 50% need the company for exactly 1dollar to be covered. and 20% need more then the 1 dollar they paid. and 30% pay less.

that means a company can easily break-even or even have a profit from all the insurances.

the more ppl get an insurance the bigger the chance is you're income in fee's is bigger then your outgoing cash.

lol that's what I meant in my first post with ppl being to busy belonging to a party( like republican) too actually care about the topics they propose.

the way we get teh vision is that in america ppl are either 100% republican and support all their ideas or 100% democrat.

which is a crappy idea. what about the ppl that are a little bit of both? that find some points of democrats good and others of republican?

why aren't there more parties when you have elections. I know it's a different system and all but where I live elections have at least 6 parties or more. some really big and know other small but dynamic.

after elections parties work together to form a 51% majority. so that it almost never occurs that 1 party is leading( for example only the christian democrats but always a mix of parties.

choosing between 2 parties is just not cutting it in my opinion( in that opinion I support george carlin: you have no choice then)

The United States health care is NOT Europes. It's far worse.  Half the money is going to kickbacks. The rest makes the party in power able to decide what companies die or live.
