They have tossed out a lot of the temp stations.
Setting up a temp station on a Tarmac, over an asphalt parking lot, behind the vent exhaust of a AC unit, etc.
On tar/black rubber roofs as well.
not to smart....but if you want to skew the ave. temp up.....for reasons........you find unique places for the temp stations.
I've never seen a station located in the way you describe BW, perhaps your conspiracy is limited to the US? After all, climate change will affect everyone differently.
