I know not what your aim was.. however the lawsuits intend to point out the Federal Government by the Constitution is prohibited from forcing people to buy anything. There are other aspects which also will be sued upon, including special allowances for some states...

The difference is freedom of choice.

I chose to not buy insurance this year. It was my choice. I can afford it, my company offers a plan with very small payments, but I chose not to.

I can afford to cover several major expenses if I must, and emergency care is covered by law.

The Federal Government is prevented from forcing us to purchase a good or a service. This has roots in our Revolution versus England. They forced us to purchase a certain amount of tea, to purchase a certain amount of other goods from their empire... This is something we stood up to, fired weapons against other humans over, and killed over. It is something we overthrew the Government that was controlling us on our lands, and said "NO MORE". This we said we had a right to be protected against, by our own weapons if need be.

Our Government is about to sign into law a requirement that we purchase health insurance, or we will be fined for not having insurance. Our companies can provide it, but we must have 'adequate' insurance according to a single person... The Secretary of Health... The IRS is allowed extraordinary powers to make sure we comply, and can pass along any information to the Department of Health Services. If we do not have insurance, do not pay the fine, then we can be charged with a Felony, given up to a $10,000 fine against us, and lose our voting rights.

If I lose my voting rights temporarily... well best not dwell on that

This is strictly unconstitutional, and will be challenged by a hundred different law groups, and up to 40 States minimum.

There are other provisions in there that are also against the Constitution... but they are much less dangerous than the requirement to purchase...

The costs of this system will be about 3 times larger than any European equivalent. And we will get about half of what you get to boot also.

The kickbacks for instance, are huge in nature... for Politicians, but not for healthcare. Wheel chair prices are going up 40%, how does this help the poor? The Middle Class? Defibrillator, up 40%... Air tanks so you can breath, 40%... and so forth down the line.

And it kills our AAA rating to an AA or even an A rating, how does this help the United States, and the poor?

Look if we were to truly be a socialist utopia, this bill would be never passed. It is all about paybacks to big industry (pharma), kicking those who do not donate to Democrats, and power.

We could do better in a heart beat, the Republicans offered 20 plans that could do much better in a heart beat.

The system we have now isnt working. Statistics prove that. Is the new Health care bill good? Prolly not. But its a step in the right direction. Somethiing needs to be done. We are supposedly the best country in the world yet we have one the most f'd up health care system in the world. CEOs of insurance companys are the only ones benefiting from our current system.
