Topic: Internet Censorship

Well big brother is coming to town.

It seems that Australia is leaping ahead and making it a crime to be critical online of the government or of politicians. Obama's administration has also said that 'the internet needs regulating'.

China has been clamping down harder, and more nations like Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, and such are putting up huge filters and/or cracking down on certain types of sites access. We are not just talking Pr0n either...

Some places have restricted access to even YouTube for purposes wide in scope.

Other nations are talking tighter regulations, presumably to crack down on child porn, but honestly this will affect us all in a serious way...

ISP's are being pressured to crack down... And some are cracking down on things, net neutrality is the slang word, but not if your government is involved... then it is all out the door...

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Re: Internet Censorship

maybe you can speak to the mods and grant him a pardon. you can talk about how forgiving you are to a serious offender at your next election.

Flint:

On the one hand you are wining over internet piracy and than demand for a 3 strike rule (which means deep control of internet traffic for all users). On the other hand you are wining over too much state control in the internet. strange, isn't it?
