Crazy heart!
Though I did like the story in the LA Times where a real bomb disposal sgt says he rooted for the hero of Hurt Locker to get blown up so his men would be spared his antics
Hurt locker at least had a good "new" story.
Hurt Locker is gonna win because
It's about the military being good guys, and members who like the military will like that
the military is pissed off at it, so the members who dont like the military will like that
the producers have been humiliated and you KNOW the academy loves that
Cameron is a prick
Cameron said Hurt Locker will win because his exwife made it and she's a woman-- so they owe him a black eye
Avatar is a ripoff like Mr. Blonde said

Avatar re-released? Pfft, DVD is all I will put money to it for now!
However I expect Avatar #2 will be the quickest made, super hit ever.. lol... The man has to be smelling money, lots of money.... enough to make Star Wars look pathetic even, this man deserves an Oscar... oh wait..

linkeh:
The reshowing of the highest grossing movie ever would primarily be in 3D cinemas and would include previously unseen footage which was left out in the rush to get the film ready for its original December 18 release, says the Hollywood Reporter.

im gonna see avatar on my 15" laptop screen
as it was meant to be seen
does the added footage tack on a plot a 5 year old couldnt come up with?
It's sad that the main contenders were so mediocre. Avatar is a balloon: little material, a lot of hot air. The hurt locker is better, but not great, nor the best of the selection. "Inglourious basterds", "Up in the air" and "A serious man" were defenatly better films and more likely not to sink in the quicksand of previous films.
i watched Fantastic Mr. Fox the other day, i liked it a lot, thought it was a great movie... certainly better then Avatar and Up imo...
i'm still bitter the academy ignored "Two Girls One cup"
i agree with wfs, *slaps chwis
what/????
