Topic: New Media versus Old Media
It has become very apparent to me that there is a change in the print, tv, online, and other media sources. This change is that there is very little to no profit in most liberal news media outlets. TV stations such as ABC are having a hard time with ratings overall and are seeking ways to trim costs all the time. On the Radio the rout is much more apparent, with only NPR still standing, and they only are on the air due to taxes given to them from our government(s [That would be city, county, State, and Federal]). They hemmorage money and are unable to ever bring themselves to profitability. News Papers and Magazines are dying, with the main cause being said to be the internet...
But on the right, Fox News out rates all other cable television shows combined, and rakes in money. Fox affiliates through the nation continuously out perform the other local stations in content and in news. In Print the growth for Conservatives has been amazing in books, and quietly there is also growth in newspaper and magazine subscriptions.
Online is also telling... Major lefty news orgs admitted that in Twitter the Conservatives rule. The news in Facebook and MySpace are also bleak for Liberals, where they are also outnumbered.
The levels of defeat of the left can be shown no stronger than in Talk Radio, where Conservatives hold all the cards, and make huge sums of money.
What is truly apparent however is that the left has found defeat in the media, and that they are losing money, and slowly closing shop up. Meanwhile the right is surging ahead in the new media, with great success. Even only moderate groups, such as Fox News, are surging ahead.
