Love don't threaten me again !

What a cesspool mw is turning into.  Without some sense of proportion or fair play, the game is hardly worth playing.  The players have to impose some set of guidelines on their own play, it's unfair to expect everything which shouldn't be done to be against the rules, and it's no defense to say that doing x or y isn't illegal.  The game has to on some level police itself.
I remember a game I was in one of the big bruisers on our team checked another guy from behind into the boards - it wasn't an intent to injure thing, just a stupid thing.  Ref assessed two minutes and our coach called out to the ref "Not enough, you have to kick him out."  Which he did.  It was embarrassing for our guy and we missed him the rest of thegame, it hurt our chances to win.  But in the locker room afterwards, nobody was saying hey tough call Jim and he wasn't defending it either.  Why?  Because we've all been around long enough to know checks like that can paralyze a guy, and nobody wants to see that happen.  We don't want to play in a game where that sort of thing can happen, and it's very player's responsbility to make sure the atmosphere never gets such that it allows or encourages that kind of thing.  If it did, a lot of us would just quit, because hey I'm not risking a wheelchair just to have some fun.
That's a RL (sort of, it's still just sport) example, and this of course is just a silly game, so no-one is going to be injured here and if their feelings are hurt, well boo-hoo.  But the point is this: do we really want to play in a game with continually lowering sense of fairplay and honour?  I know I've ragged on 663 pretty bad this round (not unafirly so, imnhso), but they're not the disease, they're just a symptom. 
My own sense of what's happening is that people who don't care for this are leaving MW.  I hope they aren't leaving IC completely, although I suspect we're losing newbies for sure, because they have no way of knowing whether this is normal.  But if this is the future of MW, I think we need to start warning people coming in, declare it hardcore or what have you.  Let the guys who are into the kick them while they're down tactics have MW for themselves, and set aside Andro or whatever for people who believe a wee bit more in Marquis de Queensbury rules.  Just a thought.

I really appreciate the aid, but no need to fall on your allies like this.. we got this war and we lost way to much time in this to not get out of this fat..

for the last time.. you got as much help from your allies as we did from ours.. you lost this war because only TMK did anything..
