At this moment if Huckabee had a chance I would so wtf vote for him. Not my first choice, by far even, but definitely better than all the alternatives.
Once again it is refreshing to know that America isn't full of Flints and Bw's... there is hope yet!
omg.. I had some wonderful post that would have changed the world... and Windows crashed..... go figure ![]()
Its a conspiracy! The aliens conspired with Bill Gates to crash your computer because the illuminati was working with the US to distract the world with a war for oil whilst they build a super space weapon to control our minds!
Anyhow, a sum it up.. the dem's bantering about NAFTA should be rounded up and at the least, have their mouths duck taped shut. There are seven significant resources that will end the dependancy on Mid East Oil.. the most significant of which is up there in Alberta.. and NAFTA is the one support structure in place that will ensure the ready access to those reserves.
Here is an exert that was in my "paste" option...
The problem with America is the "Spin". Our press has taken advantage of that, and sadly, the politicians are masters at utilizing that and shaping public consciencousness. Spin unfortunately is ultimately unraveled by time. Truth is Truth, it's not a point of view. This has been lost and sadly hidden from us through manipulation of what is taught in schools.
We've had such a degragation of our educational system, and the lost principals that the US conservatively was born from that we will sadly rarely ever know the truth. I've picked up 40 year old history books, or those written in 1890, and what they tell of our Civil War is so radically apart from what is in the schools now..
Obama is a great orator. I equate him to about the best used car salesmen there is. Hilary, is a master at spin and why she's where she is.. but has anyone looked under the hood at what is being sold? McCain, same can be said.
Here is a roll call basically to help illustrate what I am talking about. Democrats are against Capital Punishment.. people that are factual murderers at the least.. yet support abortion on Demand.. (what have these babies done to not have the democrats support?)
Anyhow.. it went on from here...
Sums up my support and desire for a McCain/Huckabee republican ticket..
Well, McCain is now the Republican nominee. Hillary is still dead set on dividing the Democratic Party and taking it to the convention and trying to deny the voters their voice by swaying super delegates. Thanks Hillary, show us once again that our votes don't count. Show us once again that all it takes is being able to sway certain people in order to get what you want and that the popular vote doesn't mean anything. Also, a big thanks to Ralph Nader, the man who enters a presidential race just to suck votes away from the candidate he doesn't like thereby handing the election to the republican nominee. It looks like McCain will now be the next president. Thank you Douchebag Nader. Well, there's a possibility Nader's effect could be nullified if Ron Paul decides to run on an independent ticket. Paul and Nader would cancel out each other.
Zarf, you can claim whatever you want.
You made a statement, after my statement. what, you want me to say I disagree ??
The Super Delegates ARE independant. They can vote as they wish. That is the way it is set up. They are in the winners tally, but not part of the regular delegates. I have no clue how they will vote, I do know that Chelsea has been on the phone w/them.
I didnt see any questions.....did you have one ??
Has Chelsea Clinton also been sleeping with them?
That would persuade me to vote for Hillary!
Obama is slightly ahead in Texas though, so I'm freaking out.
Chelsea must be really good. I wish I was a super delegate.
Never mind I just checked. He was winning an hour ago.
But if you had a gun to my head you must be stuck on the idea of shooting me. I mean, after the bowl of ice cream, then what? "Answer the phone or I blow your head off". Basically I can take that pistol or die trying. It's a question of when, and before I risk it all, ice cream would hit the spot. Plus I'd be armed with a spoon when I go for you.
The thing about dumping Hillary is, there's no consequences if she loses. It's not as if Kerry Gore and Dukakis can get free coffee let alone wage war on enemy Democrat mayors. If Mayor Daley says "poop to you, girly" wtf can she do to him in Chicago? And he knows better than to try for statewide office.
Stupid Republicans voted for Hillary in Texas to keep her campaign alive. I thought THE ONE THING that would bring us all together was flushing that bitch out of national politics. So much for yet another core Republican value.
I'm out of touch with America? No shit! So what? I've been out of touch since the bulk of the country renounced a general nuclear war as too awful to contemplate, even if we're destroyed. They're wrong, and life will beat it into them better than I could by arguing online. I only have to wait.

you still don't get it, do you, oh fatty acid? you said earlier you wish obama to become the president. this election thing means you're sort of supposed to vote for the fellow you want to become president. of course, it's not mandatory. but it is retarded to say you'd like to vote for someone else than the guy you wish to win.
Right now, she might; if it were any other issue, her influence would be decisive. But they're in a position to finish her as a party leader. That's why I brought up Kerry and Gore and Dukakis. They don't have the supreme clout they had before they lost an election. If the superdelegates do a Darth Vader and throw her down a powershaft, Obama will reward them.
You miss the fact the Clintons HAVE a HISTORY of completely and meticulously rewarding those who put/keep them in power. Hell Clinton pardoned how many people who merely had spouses provide campaign cash?
@ Zarf.....Pwned. You disagree to disagree. Then you agree....super delegates point.
You think Supers stay loyal, I say, its not a given.
Hell, after two votes at the convention, all delegates can change.....gloves are off.
The rest was your statement as how YOU BELIEVE things to be, vs. my statement. .....ROFL.... Fine you have your point of view. Bravo.
**** this only responding to you post mid page 2 ***
Ok, so after reading through....As you can see, I was absolutely correct. ..... Zarf, you are incorrect in your theory.
The Campaign goes on. Clinton is not dead, and the super delegates....at this point, w/o a clinching number of delegates for the Dem party, w/o a clear cut nominee, the Super Delegates hold the power w/their ability to ... Vote as they please....
YELL...
I want to see a repeat of '72 ..... I want to see a convention rebellion of the clear cut candidate w/enough delegates.
I want to see a repeat of '80......when Kennedy tried to take Carters delegates, who had the needed number of delegates to clinch.
What we can see is two candidates go into the convention w/o enough to clinch....and have a drag down, kicking and screaming nasty fight. It will also drain their war chests, and their credibility.
After all, they are both the same. They are Leftist/Socialist looking to tax the hell out of the working man, and socialize the medical and education systems, open the borders, deplete the military, leave Iraq and Afghanistan to their own devices, embrace Russia and China, and negotiate w/Iran and NoKo.
They are also alike that, Democrat politics is to attack you with personal attacks, reward anyone w/power that helps you, and NEVER concede power no matter what the consequences are to your party or more importantly the country.
W/ all this going on,.......McCain saves money, sticks to the message, shores up his base, embraces the conservative wing, leaves the mind set of legislating, and becomes an Executive. I will give him a pass.
I will vote McCain of course, because I cant see a leftist/socialist do their best to destroy America.
With clintons last gains there is still a chance she's going to make it.
Imagine the disaster if that women becomes president.:/ I'd reconsider medvedev as worst president of a superpower then.
As it stands now, at the end of the primary/caucus season, and leading into the convention, mathematically......Neither Clinton nor Obama will have enough delegates to clinch the nomination. The rest of the primaries are important, but its impossible to clinch unless one of the two step down.
That wont happen....hehe.
ROFL......
Looks like the super Delegate brainstorm of the democrat party ..IS.. going to force a fight at the convention.
The Republican party does it correctly. In most states you win the state, you win the delegates.....period. It makes it faster to get the candidate to run for the party, and RARELY do you see a fight at the convention.
Again, the Republicans know our candidate.
Again, the Democrats go to the convention w/o a clear candidate choice and set up an ugly fight.
Democrats have to have some brake or else they'd nominate some Bay Area hippie in a dashiki promising the end of the Age of Internal Combustion
then again Republicans nominated McAmnesty
Zarf maybe I misunderstood you, I thought you were saying the superdelegates can't toss Clinton even if the popular vote went for Obama? I think they have to follow the popular vote
Supers dont have to follow anything.
It is SUGGESTED that they should go w/their states majority of delegates.
Its all moot anyway. No one will have the needed number of delegates at the start of the convention.
Niether one will drop out prior to the convention.
Its gonna be ugly for the Democrats.
I cant wait. Ice up the beers, and get out the popcorn and pretzels.
Democracy in action.
I don't see much of a problem with the way the Democratic nomination is going. No matter who wins (it's going to be Obama though), the other candidate WILL back the other to create support for the party, even though they dislike each other (similar to how Romney endorsed McCain even though they seem to have personal vendettas against one another). Then we can assume most of the people that voted for either Obama or Clinton, and possibly Edwards if he endorses the candidate. And there has been RECORD turnout for the Democratic primaries and caucuses, so they will probably win the national election. McCain is trying to act more conservative now, and seems to have become a puppet of Bush, but I think he will lose some Independent voters in the run.
On a more personal note, I think McCain acts way to lethargic...he seems more aptly placed smoking a pipe on a rocking chair with a funny hat on in my opinion.
BW
If McCain knew how eagerly you backed him over the Democrats he'd apologize and disavow you.
hehe..
Yell, Lets put it this way.
IF.... If, he changes his stand on the border, He says he has....I think that is most pressing.
He is a constructionist for justices.
He supports the military, and the war on terror.
I believe he has changed his tune on the tax cuts, and realizes that the Bush Cuts did a good job.
Im not completely sold on him....but given the choice of what the Dems have.....
Would you want to see Hillary of Barak running the show ?? Selecting Justices ?? As commander in chief ??
BW,
don't mention the B****.:D She's still got a chance unfortunately. And she is still a far worse option as obama. I wish you GL though with whatever candidate who becomes president in the end dem or rep.
ha ha
Drudgreport had a picture of Hillary up on Tuesday's big primary sweep
the Caption was "C-DAY"
and both my dad and I thought: "You...you can't SAY that!" ![]()
