With another mafia member lynched, the town was getting confident. A few reminded others that there were still many mafiosi around so they had to be careful, but tonight Oxygen was happy. Another mafioso was dead and he was going to celebrate it with his loved one. From the day they had met in the gaybar, he knew they were meant for each other and tonight was his night. At least, that's what he thought when he got dressed for going out. But then someone knocked on the door. "Coming!"

When he opened the door, there was no one. "Hello?" Oxygen shrugged and went back inside to get ready. But as he turned around while closing the door, he heard footsteps in the hallway and paused. This pause was fatal, for a brief moment later someone stormed through the door and knocked Oxygen on the floor. Before he even had the chance to scream, he got gagged. Two men tied his hands and feet and picked him up to put him in his sofa.

"Well, well, well. Going out tonight are we?" The mafioso lighted a cigar and smiled at his companion. Then he nodded and the other guy went to close the door. Since he wasn't coming back, Oxygen figured he stood guard on the outside. The mafioso with the cigar got up and walked to Oxygen's TV set on which stood an ashtray. He put the cigar in the ashtray and walked back to Oxygen.

"I hate to disappoint you, buddy, but you're not going anywhere. Not anymore."
He then grabbed the nearest thing he could find, a lamp, and smashed it against Oxygen's face. "Let's begin."

But it didn't last long. The next object Oxygen got hit with was the ashtray. After that, the mafioso went to the kitchen and came back with a bunch of forks and knives. One by one, he threw them at Oxygen, at first hitting mostly his legs and arms, but eventually aiming for more lethal places. All the time, Oxygen tried to scream out in pain and panic, but the gag was tied too well. Then the attempts to scream stopped and only a bit later, when he stopped moving, the mafioso threw the final knife, straight into Oxygen's heart.

That night, Gratitude waited what seemed forever, but his lover never showed up. When the sun started to rise, someone knocked at the door. It were the police, informing him that his lover Oxygen had been murdered that night. When they left, Gratitude sat motionless at his dinner table. Feeling as if he'd lost everything, he sat there for hours until he made a decision. He got up and walked into his bedroom. It wasn't until two hours later when someone came into his apartment and found Gratitude, hanged from the ceiling, a farewell letter on his bed.
