if I'd had real balls I'd have made 2x as much off MTL but it scared me into selling after just $2 a share profit

Hey my basic plan to find a stock where somebody panicked and get it on the rebound is earning me 8% I'm in third and I haven't borrowed a cent unlike BW and Einstein

XRM is not climbing right now but I still say it has the assets and new leadership. If they dodge bankruptcy it will pay off.

Delta Airlines-- we'll see. They posted a fat loss onfuel but let's see.

Those are the only two losers I have and I still say I could make book on them. WMG is drawing attention in a bad way for making money without a good reason...I mean the bad regulatory turn-back-the-clock and eat your losses kind of attention...

I am about to make a buck a share profit on Manpower the staffing comany, I'll get a piece of General electric, i rode a rollercoaster with Russian steel and Ford autos and got out ahead, and I'm about to make a few centavos gambling on 99 Cents Only stores because cheap food is a winner

in a phony account..just cuz i was curious what would happen to it

but personally my favourite stocks are stocks i've recorded trends off and i know when to buy and sell them now..i might start this in real life with those fav stocks of mine:

KFT
LINE
GOOG(not too good predictions on it but i still like it)
i'm also liking Potash and AAPL but they not yet my favs..i'm keeping track of them though
potash is a nice one to own though

So i read, yeah irl it would be a keeper, aleady sold my IPI and C after earning a few bucks a share

I go to NYSE.com and find the big advances for the day, look at those stocks and look at them over the past month or quarter. If they have that panic cliff I usually buy and then put a sell-order a buck or so higher. Reading the press releases helps, I passed on FMD because it has lawsuits not just a lack of shareholder confidnece and a business slump. So far Delta and Xerium are the only ones losing me money

I am buying 2 risers and shorting a soon to be dropper then riser. Think I will drop AT&T while it is up as well... what a roller coaster they have been! I am also planning to watch my best stock like a hawk until it starts to lose ground, then let it go.

Shorting a stock is playing it to loose value.  Buying is playing it to gain.
Buying to cover a short,  is getting out of a short play.

Its just about knowing a company.....actually a few, and knowing when they are over valued, and when they are under valued.

And if you can play 2 of 3 correctly, over time, you will do well.   If you play 1 of 3 correct, you will not do well. 

Do your homework, and practice on these game places.  Follow the news.  Follow the reports.  Listen to 1/4 audios. 

Im no expert for sure.  Im just in a zone w/C for now.  Im catching it correctly.  Look at the chart, you can see the tops and bottoms.  Couple that w/news and a good strong constitution.  hehe.

I think shorting it means BW bought it from somebody who agreed to buy it back on a set day at a set price.
If the free market price is higher than the contract price BW is a loser, he could have bought and sold it without a contract for more money.
If the free market price is lower than the contract price BW wins because the other guy agreed to pay more than anybody in the world would pay for that stock on that day.

I just put in a cover on one of my short positions on C  ...up another 1% in the portfolio.

In RL...I dumped my position in C last night.  .... I think Im done w/C for now.  Made a nice sum for now.
If it falls below 22, I might get back in.....looks like I will wait until they report...Friday I think.

I looked for 3 hours for good stock picks today. Was a tough looking market. I found at least 2 dozen in complete free fall, another 2 dozen that experienced their free falls and were stabilized at a much reduced value (ewww stabilized!). Found some fair picks, and some that I researched show great promise. Tried my hands at options... shows as a loss? I dunno, we will see later I guess.

Didnt know my pal Max's company was on NYSE but it makes sense. WPI watson pharmaceuticals just down the road in Corona California. #2 US drug manufacturer behind Eli Lily and #4 worldwide. Looks tempting when i have some change lying around. Honest brilliant nerds with their own labs. Just dont play paintball with them because they cheat, they have the gf on the sideline spotting and toting spare gas and ammo. Or am i giving inside info smile

when in the trade window, if you think it will loose value, you short it....instead of buy.

Then when you believe its down as far as you think, you sell to cover the short.

You guys actually buy and sell stocks on a daily basis?  WTH is wrong with you.  Real investors don't buy / sell stocks on a daily basis.  They keep stocks.
