that is not correct, you are going on simple theory of the game, i have tested it and found that not true.
so do as i did study (trial and error) and make the true mathematics.
i have found a lot of flaws in the game codes as they say they are... and RC's is one of my biggest finds.
remember the military bug that 1% gave you 100%, well this is something like that, but it changes with they way you keep your infra %'s as to what it does, i can't explaine it... i just know that my income increase 30k every three ticks without building anything.

Pop bankers: RC's f*cks up their lq/to ratio
for all bankers/resources: overbuilding your planets with RC's is stupid. it might be cheap but i'd rather built usefull buildings. and just get your research due to funding.
yeah but buildings get taken, and once a RC puts in to your research it is there forever, and the building are just gone, meaning that with each attack you get stronger and lose less money. attack strength, welfare, and your resources actualy grow LOL.

I always built lots of RCs even before reading this thread. How is that even possible? How could I have known that it makes sense before Cougar told me? It's a miracle!
LOL, it's not just building a lot, there is a way to build them to make them most effective, and that has been, and will be what i am holding back because some ignorant nOOb, decided that RC were stupid.
From what you wrote so far I'm not getting the impression that you are able to create a formula to determine the ideal percentage of RCs.
I simply go with my roundabout 30% RCs, having my >50% in 3 research-fields and am happy despite not knowing what wisdoms about that you might be holding back.

there have been people using the market from day one, but there is a way to do it that will make you money that you obviously have no clue about.
