Topic: Developing Hatred...

before bush's second term, the FCC began to require ALL political canidates for every public office to say "I'm [name], and i approoved this message". most of you know what i'm talking about or at least have noticed it over the years.

well, this was to force politician to take ownership of their messages and limit false info and propaganda.  this, is a great idea.

we need a limited government to keep the power in the hands of the people, right? well what happens when corperate america gets too powerfull?

well, my freinds, as it turns out, both extremes of either too much government or corperate america can be dangerous to you and your precious family.

lately there have been political messages telling us, "Say NO to government run health-care" and they use scare tactics directed toward audiences that have the most to lose(or so they think). BUT, i thought the FCC regulates those messages so we know who stands behind the message! nope! ladies and gentlemen, record, pay attention, the ownership of the rumors you hear about the bad effects of Universal health and Mr. Obama derive explicitly from the private sector!  and since we wont allow the government to get involved(for fear of thier power), corperate america and all his money is having feast on fear and they are winning because most people are too stupid to realize the difference between official government messages and public out-cries for corperate fat cats to keep thieir investments at the cost of your heath.

Re: Developing Hatred...

i can understand seeing crap like that on the internet, the WEB is not regulated, but the FCC is supposed to be preventing this from happening on television...

so logically, considering the facts, this must mean the FCC is stupid, big_smile

Re: Developing Hatred...

So because one unconstitutional law was passed you want it extended.  Fella there aint even ONE health care plan, so please explain what version is this mystical creamy goodness that we gotta buy like it or not.  I prefer the untrammeled freedom of the corporate fat cats against blank check slavery to the self-made rules of bureaucrats--because that is what Health Care will be, something I must prove to the government that I bought, price to be determined, coverage to be determined, by a regulatory board to be determined, operating on regulations to be determined.  IRS, writes its own regs.  FEC, writes its own regs. FAA, writes its own regs, and so too will the Health Care Gubmint Death Panel write its own regs, and yeah it is a death panel, ask any 40 year old survivor of breast cancer who just got told by "limited government" she could have skipped the mammogram until 50.  To save money.  Thank Jesus and the corporate fatcats that their "advice" was not binding.

Re: Developing Hatred...

the point was not origionally about healthcare, that was the example i used from recent televised messages.  i'm sure if we did more research, we will find that the messages corporate america spreads are far more extended than just heathcare. healthcare is its own problem without corperate america making it harder to find truth and justice.

i think the true meaning behind my whole thread is the unfairness between government and private sector.  the private sector say's "limit government, they take our wealth, wah..wah..whaa!" but when they need help they expect the government to help.  why doesn't the private sector help the government every once in a while like the rest of us taxpayers do when we pay our rent? you dont see me tell the government "wah..wah, economy sucks, can you subsidize my rent?" c'mon, i'm all about free market enterprise, but when companies put mass amounts of cash in advertisments and lay-off 500 workers to cut cost, how american is that? they seem pretty similar to the crooks that pissed of our fore fathers in the first place.

i would love to see how well corperate america fairs if the US government suddendly said "oh, i'm sorry your going bankrupt, but we cant help you because thats how free market works!"

Misinformation is the mother of all stupidity. So while they might be logically sound, their minds might have been crammed with lies and fallacies and such that their parents past down.

Can you blame someone for that?

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

You can't blame Americans for being stupid.

But you can hate them for it.

This forum is stupid.

I acknowledge this problem and while I realize for these people it's not their fault they must be sacrificed for the good of the species.

yes the economy would die but it can be revived.  I'm not saying it'd be a smooth transition but like my folks always told me, "nothing worth doing is easy."
