Re: World Cup 2010 Groups Drawn!
This World Cup may well be very different from recent ones, a lot of the better teams are having issues with coaching and form (France, Argentina, Portugal) and other teams are in transitional periods (Germany, even Brazil and Italy with a lot of ageing players) and other teams historically underachieve (Netherlands).
So that means a lot of teams that haven't had success recently have real chances, such as Denmark or Paraguay or USA or even England (with a competent coach for once), as well as maybe some African teams advancing far on their home continent (Cameroon, Ivory Coast).
But what it ultimately means is that Spain will probably be absolute favorites, having a good combination of experience and youth and having been in good form and coaching.
The groups all look rather dull, so all in all I expect a disappointing World Cup
