Did that come from my simulator?
UPDATE!!
I smashed a couple bugs and added "Recent Reports" to the headquarters screen. The current actions will show a report: Construction of Buildings or Units, Exploring a Planet, Losing fleet due to not having enough money to support them, Halving income due to not having enough food to support them.
Yes sir!
I may have added extra pop to my planets. ![]()

Is that 1.5 gagillion income?
Shame it wasn't net income.
lol it's not real if you cheat haha
pff X(
It could happen!
lol whatever dork ![]()
Anyway andro began so I finally got the opportunity to synchronize my simulator with ic. So far 3 ticks in and everything seems to match.
But note: This does NOT include overbuilding costs (Which I'm sure are slightly off - I have no idea if IC rounds up/down/ or to the nearest integer and the overbuilding formula has 2/3 steps and each one of those steps has some rounding in it xD - it'll be interesting to figure this one out)
This also doesn't include unit costs which might be a rounding factor off. I'm not going to screw up my already crappy round just to test immediately lol.
You should really use jquery - it will make your browser compatability issues much less profound.
well as far as I know when you SEE a droid costing you 35 gc and/or a building costing 2 end... even with the ingame "how much can you build" calculation... that droid may only be costing you 34.5 or 35.49 gc... likewise for the building may be 1.5 or 2.49.... HOWEVER, if you backtrack after making say, 100 of them, you will see it used the actual value for total cost
I will be interested to see what you find out about how OB is calculated (is it per build or per unit made)... I have been told that if you go directly from 0-100% OB in one go you are effectively paying less than if you go from 0-50-100% or any other combination (disregarding empire size costs ofc)... I disagree although I remember running some calcs and finding that the direct 0-100%OB was .0001% cheaper... whether or not that was a rounding error who knows lol ![]()
The only reason the 0-100% OB is cheaper is because of rounding. I can't imagine any other reason it would be different.
AweXomE, the formulas build everything altogether at once (except when you are going from not overbuilt to overbuilt - that's a two step process)
I haven't had a chance to test where all the rounding occurs but for the most part I expect things are very close to accurate in the simulator.
Jquery? I refuse to use the bulk of someone else's intellectual property. Sure it's free but it's a collection of other people's work. How can I be proud of work that is founded on somebody elses time and effort? I created this thing to test my knowledge, not to test out jquery
And I don't believe the browser compatibility issues are that profound anyway. I've tested the site on all of the browsers listed on the page and they all work. I purposely restricted people to having an updated browser because there's no point in me dumbing down the code so that people can be lazy and use old versions of browers lol.
bump
Lol eh?
I wont update this unless anybody has any suggestions xD
I might someday make a better version of it though. My nexus windows are annoying me.
Anyway my current project is a new mapgen application.
Bwahahaha, and it's halfway done now after 10 months lol.
Skylar! Incremental programming ![]()
I remember an old IC simulator. That thing worked miracles for my start strategy.
Lol really? I'm very glad to hear that ![]()
Unfortunately I lost my job and lost the really good server I had at the time where all my files were ![]()
Incremental programming?
