No it is not me, it is somebody else's who posted it on a raving right wing reactionary blog I surf

The core joke of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is that of course no civilization would develop personal computers with instant remote database recovery, and then waste this technology to find good drinks.

subs are made to take in positive pressure and hold.

In spess there is negative pressure as everything is pulled outwards

hrm, you might not have to wait for space, just put one in vaccuum

and if it survives, try filling it with baking soda, and seeing if will submerge and surface on its own

Depends really. The weight of moving such a thing high, might be harder then constructing an airtight casing where you could pump out oxygen.
