"I've just completed Mike's Nature [the science journal] trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie, from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline."

Critics cite this as evidence that data was manipulated to mask the fact that global temperatures are falling. Prof Jones claims the meaning of "trick" has been misinterpreted

Not many people know this, but I own the first radio in Springfield. Not much on the air then, just Edison reciting the alphabet over and over. "A" he'd say; then "B." "C" would usually follow...

They DID NOT say "ooooh  a hockey stick, course, it may flatline for a decade or two" they said they KNEW it would keep getting warmer.

Because we've been staying cooler for 10 years.

If scientists come out and say "oh well certain factors aren't in our models and that determined global climate this decade, but those factors should go away" then what's the difference between their models and using a crystal ball

Especially if the enter fake temperatures into the computer

Scientists who do nothing but publish papers - where the real science lies.


but the only difference you see is the papers funded by governments and the papers funded by oil companies, scientists need money - soon as there research grant is up for review they release some sexed up report to get media attention.



remember the 70's ?  all those scientists who where dead sure we where entering another ice age ?

science is not fact, its opinion. you might think im talking crap because all it is is my opinion but i did study applied environmental science at university. this climate change movement or should i say religion is just an excuse for governments to make money by taxation.

People always claim the ice age forecasters were dumb and wrong because no ice age actually happened.

If the effects of global warming include temperature increases, doesn't it only mean that the ice age forecasters were right, except that humanity prevented the ice age through pollution?  smile

I actually don't care if CO2 causes energy retention, what is clear is that we can't trust the POLITICAL argument that emissions have to be regulated lest we suffer decades of flooding, drought and wildfire due to UNCONTROLLED, UNDIMINISHED STRAIGHTLINE warming.
