I just read that thread, all it consists of is people supporting no market at all and failures posting bad reasons to why it shouldn't.  The ones who posted why to have no market had much better arguments.  True S/S does not use market.

self-sufficient: You can play the game by yourself. I.e. supporting your self, without the NEED for intervention by other players.


SS can use market. SS can accept aid. SS can even look at porn.
SS just means you are playing by yourself, but can work with other people at times (E.g. at times of war).

Market is gay, that means there will be market aiding.... A person that market aids in 1 man fam round is going to have double the resouces than any other family.

Also if there is going to be a market WE NEED TO KNOW THE PRICES!!!!!!!!!! How can you not tell us the prices, what if I dont like the prices? than maybe I want to plan to have a different race, and one with a more income setup. And not be screwed from the start.


We need to know the prices other wise this is just a big mistake.

Okay....PRICES!!!!

These are the prices that will be on Market for 72 hrs.  After 72 hrs, market will be unlocked and prices will be whatever people put stuff on the market as.

Iron Buy = 11.00
Iron Sell = 11.01

Food Buy = 0.06 (Changed from initial post)
Food Sell = 0.07 (Changed from initial post)

Oct Buy = 25.00
Oct Sell = 25.01

End Buy = 15.00
End Sell = 15.01

i think this regulated market should be removed.  setting a fixed price ruins the whole idea of a market.  For those who haven't thought of this already, food is the best source of income for the cost it takes to make.  So i am assuming that 90% of people are going to start off making food... kinda boring if you ask me.  Just need to know when to switch over to cash/other resources

My point is there should be a market, but it shouldn't be regulated.

Thx Devillived - you are correct.

We've decided food is irrelevant too much anyway at start, don't need it for infra (just make sure you don't starve tongue)

For this reason, food is now dropped to:

Food Buy on Market = 0.06
Food Sell on Market = 0.07

Self-Sufficient is a relative term. This is a group based game dumbass.

As i said:

Its okay, and even normal, for a SS player to use the market. It makes them more efficient when they have
excess of something and want to gain more of another resource.

Also i agree that having a market like this is stupid X(.
