I agree with NK completly. This game is perfect for application on i phones and black berries. I check IC frequently on my phone when its slow at work (All the time!)
There is over 360,000,000 internet users based on a year 2000 census. How many of those users know about IC? With better promotion it can grow again. When IC was growing i remember seeing it advertised on many gamer sites. If every one of us invited one friend and showed them the ropes that would double our active players to at least 800.
Some of you say that the game is outdated and it can't compete with newer games like WoW. Chess has been around for over 600 years! It's one of the most widely played games in the world. Plus you can't play WoW at work or on your phone can you?. Old or not this game is great it just needs some love from the whole community.

for me, IC died when Oblique "died"
after that, it just wasnt fun, not even a little bit, but all things considered, the game just isnt fun, the interaction as well as the level of strategy and playing just isnt there... pretty much everything that could be done by the best players has been done, and now shit is being recycled.
But shit can't be recycled, it needs to be flushed down the toilet, and the fact that there are people trying, is just making the game shittier...
Even the threads here have gotten kinda boring from what it used to be, what, 4 years ago?
people stopped being optimistic years ago.

@rowrow - wow... I feel exactly the same way. I havent played seriously since Oblique left (being nice about it) and just come on the forums once every other month or so to see if its still the same old faces. At least that never changes .

Still, I think I found IC more fun when it was more like 1000-2000 people per galaxy and you werent beating or losing against the same 200 people over and over which is what IC seems to have become 
.
Oh and I remember old stupid

Anyways people say IC is dying although its not quite true since now a lot of old players i see return to the game. If we start advertising in some sort of way people will return. Lets say we go do something in the game voting at MPOGD?

IC is dead, and it will be dead in the future as long as the mods dont set a way to encourage honor and punish low actions, or do it imperial conflict 100% confilct, without naps, without allies, without families, etc....

the last post i will ever make.
the game is dieing because people cheat, lie, attack smaller families, disregard honor protocol, flame everyone that has an idea opposing they're limited knowledge of the game, ext ext ext.
newer games don't allow it and ban people that do... so thats why they (other games) gain as IC loses.
so the only people to be blamed are the people that IC allows to do things like this.
