Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

The defensive ring is around the populated planet, not the military complex.

Your next post, the military prisone camp where you are being help will have a new commander appointed.. one that will treat you with far more dignity. Also new flags will fly over the camp, that of the Scion. The Kallum guarding you will start wearing a symbol of the relgious relic on their uniforms, which is also on the flag of the Scions. So, if you can work that into your next post.

This will reflect the fall out from the broadcast of the battle of from my most recent post. The old Kallum will basically have been usurped by a newer, more righteous breed of warriors.

Also, in your post, please allow for admiral Septimus to be folded up to the Nightengael for medical care.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Folded?!?! But, yeah I can work that stuff into it over the course of a few, shorter posts... similar to what Fokker has been doing wink

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

folded.. traveling.. transported.. All the same thing..I just choose to fold things, as it allows for the temporal technologies the Scion use. We dont typically fold big things, just small things. There are worldships which can do more, but I will not likely have that in this story.. other than perhaps a Cameo here or there, and likely not in this galaxy..

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Hmm...

You might not want that fleet to just head out yet.. remember, that Nai is using you as pawns.. His goal is simply to kill his enemy the Darkones,  so if your going to go to your ships.. just like that.. there must be a reason.. of course, that could be what he wants you to think wink

Also remember that large fleets of people in vessels is like ringing the dinner bell to these things.

Also, read my post, the losses of your fleet trying to get to within the defense ring was much higher than your reports.. however, you have more people here than you should.. Some will report a flash, others horrible dreams of their deaths, then waking up in the rooms here on the planet. Thus, many of your fleets crews and soldiers are here.. their vessels are not.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

They haven't left yet, in fact that haven't even headed out of the POW camps until everything is set and ready... and I take it this has something to do with 'folding' people?

would like to point out that only this (where you are)planet has of yet embraced scion. I'm sure the kid would not approve of it.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

arocalex.. good point.. the population planet has, tho, change does not happen fast, and those that are in power, often cling to it no matter the price. That's a good observation, thanks.

Recall that the Childern of the Creators span much of the entire galaxy. So, all races will have members who will try to get into control, in support of the Scion if the opportunity begets itself. And behave much like a religious zealot, that is until an Overseer could be appointed for the planet or system. In this most recent case, I will assume the time to organize was not nearly enough. Thus only the truest zealots would be involved, and the types you will have to deal with smile muahaha.

btwm I do hope you guys are enjoying this smile

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

STill there are probably factions like the Cy'Tan, blacken and Talus, that might be unwilling to back down from their fight nomatter what the cost.

No doubt the Scion are powerfull but they may just aswell prove to be a threat that needs to be taken out if they continue to help Kallum worlds. Also, the Universe also has star gods, things that may just be scion tongue. So you might be know to some races as the star gods, such as blacken or wardancers.

Also to point out. Cy'Tan are dirivited from Wardancers who are in their own dirivited from a combination of many diffrent races. So to the Cy'Tan these star gods are unknown. Jeodan tho had this hidden knowledge of the universe inside his mind. To him the creators he mentioned might have been the Wardancers or the star gods, he isn't sure of anything.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Arocalex.. I dont want to reveal too much of what I have planned, as I still want each of you to be creative in your own rights. Just has you have defined the abilities and techincal aspects of your races, I simply reserve the right to do the same. I don't have massive fleets, I don't have large numbers of anything. Which is the handicap I've limited myself to. Thus why I try to recruit from your numbers. So, any means you take to subvert my call to the followers, will only enrich the story line. Also, any power my race has is totally committed to the war with the Darkones, and thus, skews our vision of other races and justifies our manipulation of them. This character flaw, as I think your on to, is exactly what I'd want you guys to work with. Ie, people will hate the Scion, people will love the Scion.. thus, in the long run, it's up to you guys how you embrace or reject them.

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

I do too, and Arocalex was compeletly right; the Talus (and probably other races of the Space Galaxy) don't plan on bowing down to any one, any time soon. There may be a handful of them that have enbraced Scion, but the honor built into their society would turn those people into outcasts...

Re: Space: Sign Ups and OOC, Version 2.0

Yeah, no guns for James, not that he needs them. He is also teh suck against combat vehicles, although he's smart enough to avoid combat with them. His profession is technically noncombatant, after all.

If he really gets worked up into a rage (as in, his robes change color), it's hard to get him out, and there is the real danger that he will turn against the rest of the squad if he finishes killing all the enemies nearby.

Other weaknesses will be revealed as the storyline demands.

I think we should write that it somehow.
