One day history will look back at Bush as a tragic figure...
A guy born into a family of much expectation is driven do the bottle and the drugs, but pulls himself out through faith and willpower. He runs for political office knowing that unlike Clinton, he made the effort to change himself yet just as things were settling down he is stuck between two rocks, international terrorism (and the strong public response) and politician advisers who do not match his own beliefs but are there due to internal party politics.
It doesn't absolve him of what he has done, he made the final act and put pen to paper, but i see him as a tragic case and not an object of hatred.
